what is the easiest/fastest way to get to the fort wilderness stables from GF? From artist point at wilderness lodge? Thanks for any tips!

Are you trying to get to Tri-Circle-D Ranch (Settlement Area) to see the horses or for the pony rides? Or, are you you going for the horseback riding that checks in at Trail Blaze Corral (Outpost Area)? I just want to make sure to send you to the right place as they are at opposite ends of FW.

Actually I am trying to get to the carriage rides and the pony rides... Are they in different locations? Thanks so much!

The pony rides are at Tri-Circle-D Ranch and the carriage rides pick up from Pioneer Hall, but these are next to each other. This area is just off Bay Lake.

So, from GF, I would allow at least an hour travel time and take the monorail to MK, then take the FW ferry. When you get off the boat at FW, follow the path from the dock and then veer towards the right and then to the left to head to Pioneer Hall and Tri-Circle-D.

From WL, you have 3 options. You could take the bus from the front of WL to the Settlement Depot. The ride is short, but you may have to wait for the bus. If it is not dark out, you could walk one of the paths. There is a paved path from the front of WL that is paved and one that you pick up from behind Bay Lake that is dirt and goes through the woods. Both paths come out at the Settlement. The last option is to take the boat that circles between CR, WL and FW. Just check to see if the next stop is CR or WL. It should not take more than 20-30 minutes from here, but I would still estimate at least 45 minutes in case you have any long waits.

About how long would the walk take on the paved path? Thanks!
The paved trail has a distance of 1.1 mi., so about 20 minutes average.

The bus runs about every 15 minutes, so if it's on time, walking wouldn't be faster. (On occasion, a bus might skip WL if way behind schedule, so it could be a 30 minute wait, but rarely.)

Your other option: take the monorail to the Contemporary instead of to the MK. Otherwise the advice is the same.
