How to get to CP?

My son will be applying for the Fall 09 program. If he is accepted, he will be flying from the West Coast.

When is check-in for the Fall program? We are guessing mid August?

How do CP people get from the airport to the check-in site? We were talking today and thinking he could fly in a day early, take the ME to a value resort to spend the night, then catch Disney transportation to wherever he needs to check in?

arrival dates will most likely start about the second week of august, maybe sooner. They will run through early september and are spaced out. You get to pick your arrival date based on how early you apply and are able to accept your offer.

As for transportation, check in starts at 9am and I believe goes until 3pm. I would recommend having him come a day early, using ME, and staying in a hotel room. However, in order to get to vista way, he will not be able to use disney transportation. He'll most likely have to get a cab, but the distance is only about 7 miles depending on where you are on property.

If he opts to come in the day of check in, he'll be able to take a van shuttle through Mears from the airport to vista way.

My housemate took a cab from All Star Sports and she said it was under $10

I took a towncar (Tiffany's towncar) from the airport directly to Vista Way to check in. It was slightly more expensive but ensured that I was there at the right time. Plus, I had some help carrying my large bags!
