How to get to Boardwalk

If we are staying at POFQ, how could we use Disney's transportation and get to Boardwalk if we wanted to see Christmas Decorations?

I would take the boat down to DTD and then take a bus from there to the Boardwalk.

or a bus to MGM and then walk or take a boat to the Boardwalk

or a bus to Epcot and exit thru the International Gateway and walk or take boat to the Boardwalk.
