how to get the most from swag bucks

I have been using My Points for years and usually do the videos, email clicks and some surveys (usually cash in for Landry gift cards). Now I am looking into swag bucks so I can cut a few costs of our trip, I signed up for a Disney Run and hope to be able to take our 4 kids with. It's going to be a lot of budgeting and extra hours. That's why I'm trying to figure out swag bucks. I clicked on watching videos and I have to watch the 20 to get 3 SB. The points for gift cards seem to be a bit more on SB than My Points but they do have South West gift cards and I thought somewhere I read they have Disney gift cards too. Are there any other gift cards that are helpful?

Can someone give me some quick pointers on SB?

No Disney GCs on SB but you can redeem for Walmart, Target or Best Buy GCs and then use those to purchase a Disney GC in store (Sam's CLub for Walmart) If you get SW GCs, you need to be aware that there is a limit to the number of SW GCs that you can use for a single purchase.

I find that I can earn points "free" points faster on SB than I ever did on MyPoints. It' just a matter of learning the tricks. If you have a smartphone (or better yet, an old, unused smarthphone), you can download some of the SB apps and then earn points that way.

Read the SB thread. Lots of good pointers on there and the people are very helpful if you have a question. No sense in reinventing the wheel here when the information is readily available in that thread.

Ah! You just answered a question I asked in the Disney Gift Card thread. So you CAN use Sam's Club gift cards to purchase Disney gift cards at Sam's? That'd be awesome.

I'm new to it myself, but so far so good. Last night, thanks to a Disney Parks survey (getting a free vacation planning DVD) that was worth 100 SB, I earned 130 SB. Today, with minimal effort while goofing around online anyway, I've added 236 SB. 44 of those SB were earned by letting videos play here on my Chromebook (mostly minimized and muted, though I did have to check up on them occasionally to make sure they were behaving), and letting other videos play on various apps that I downloaded onto my phone (that's going on right now...I'm earning 2 SB for letting 15 music videos play on my phone while I'm sitting here posting on the DIS! Doesn't get much easier than that! And one of my favorite 80's songs just played! 3 more videos and I'll have 2 more SBs).

I'm going to figure out a strategy and treat it like a little side job, I have a goal in mind that I'm working for, I just have to see if what I want to accomplish is achievable. I'm happy with my success today, and if I can keep this pace, I'll definitely reach my goal (1,000 SB/week). I have approximately 60 weeks until our next Disney trip, so if I can earn 60,000 SB over that time, that would be enough for 6 $100 Sam's gift cards. Since I can use those to buy Disney gift cards, that would be enough to pay a substantial part of our park tickets for our short trip.

Just got 2 more SB while typing this. Woot!

Come on over to the Swagbucks thread Marionnette mentioned! I started when the thread was already pretty far in and have gotten tons of tips even without reading the whole thing. People post tips, offers, advice, surveys and whatnot all the time. I've made quite a bit off SB in the last two years and bumped up my earning after getting into that thread. It's active constantly so always easy to find on the first page.
