DH and I are seriously considering doing the 7 day Western cruise in Jan 2006, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get the best rate. I've heard of the early booking discount, but I'm not quite sure how far in advance this applies. We have the Disney Visa card, if that helps. I saw prices for about $2300 for a category 8 through Dreams Unlimited. Is this the best price out there? Help! Thanks! :confused3

They always have an early booking discount - right up until the day you sail it seems. What they dont say is that the price has raised SIGNIFICANTLY from a few months prior.

Contact DANA at MICDAN.COM - 1 800 385-8233. She will give you the best rates BY FAR. Have a look at the other thread people (including myself) are talking about early booking discounts.

We have used all seas as well as Dana. For our next cruise Dana had the best price, but both companies are great and usually have the best deals.

Price you trip thru DCL directly so you can see exactly what they are charging. Then after you get your quote thru them, give DANA a call www.micdan.com I have used her for almost 3 years now, and have booked 5 cruises with her. She has always been able to get me a significant savings.

my vote is for Duane at Cruiseone.....he's never disappointed me in all of my cruises.....very kind, patient and experienced....I've never called him where I've gotten voicemail...Sunday morning, Saturday night, and most recently Easter Sunday, he always answers the phone.....I dont know how he gets me the pricing he does, but he consistently beats everyone....1-877-280-8796

I also looked at 5 different TA's and found Dreams Unlimited to be the best price by far. $860 less than the closest competitor on three staterooms. I will be making my reservations on Monday.

I have been impressed with their service so far. I sent in my quote request late on Thursday, had my quote first thing Friday morning (and it was even a little less than the "Special Pricing" on selected cruises that were posted on the website). I e-mailed Merrie Friday afternoon asking about the availability of connecting cabins, and Merrie called DCL, and put a hold on the last two connecting cabins for me, within about an hour of my e-mail.

Good Luck with your research!
