Hey, we're going to Disney for a quadruple birthday celebration in 3wks and 3 days time :cheer2: I'm going to email and ask if its possible to get adjoining rooms and would like to drop in the email that we have all of these birthdays in the hope they do something special for us, maybe decorate the room? I know I can pay for this but so many people on here have reported it being done for free after hinting at a birthday - can anyone give me any tips on how to word the email without spelling out I'm looking for a freebie :rolleyes1

Cheers
Kellie

Can't help much with the wording, but I'd be interested in the outcome. We are going in October for our daughters 7th birthday, she's asked for a surprise for her birthday......this is going to be one big surprise!!:rotfl:

I have read it best to ring the hotel direct a few days before to request adjoining rooms and then mention you are excited about the trip because it is some one or in your case three people's birthday xxx

I think someone recently had some luck at SL but it does seem quite hit and miss. Hopefully as you have a few birthdays they may do something.

I think the person who had luck just emailed the hotel beforehand?

You could always try the Guest Communications email if you don't want to ring them. But as others have said, I would leave it to a few days beforehand (read on here they allocate rooms about 4 days beforehand). I have had connecting rooms twice and have emailed to ask.

We stayed ay the Newport bay actually on my daughter's 4 th birthday - we woke up there. I had mentioned directly that it was her birthday in the hope of something nice in the room and got 2 balloons - just normal air balloons on the floor in the room - not much of an effort from the hotel really.

Luckily I had bought my own things and got her to go to her Nana's room first then quickly got my own things out in the room for her.

We booked the brithday cake at Cafe Mickey and have to say that was THE most amazing experience of my life so far for her. She was the only child upstairs with a birthday cake and the characters had us all up dancing and had her in the air - it was AMAZING !!!!!!! They wouldnt let anyone else join in - she danced with Eyore on her birthday - I was in tears - it was fantastic !!!!!!!

Me too!!!

OP - I e-mailed Guest Communications about a week before our visit. Said how we were really looking forward to our 3rd stay at the Cheyenne and just confirming we'd be very grateful for adjoining rooms. At the end I told them it was a special trip as it was my daughter's birthday just after our return. We got some little chocolate coins, bottled water and a lovely welcome note in each room. I'm sure people have had more (toys, balloons, etc.) and some have had less, but we were really pleased.

I think if you go into it expecting nothing you won't be disappointed. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Good luck.

I think I will go armed with some special things just in case! We had a similar experience at Cafe Mickey for our DDs 4th birthday a few yers ago and it was fantastic, it was at this that my DS (who's 4th birthday is this trip) fell in love with Mickey and we will definitely being doing it again!! We also went to Auberge for her birthday and wow that, for a little girl, was truly incredible. Ah such memories xxx

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'll hang fire until a few days before and then contact them. Like you say if I don't ask we won't get xxx
