How to get reservations for next week ?

Hi All, Does anyone have any tips on how to get last minute reservation at Ohanas next week, aug 8-11 ? They are already booked !

Just keep calling - up to and including the day you want to eat there. There are often last minute cancellations at restaurants. Depending on your time constraints, you could always try walking up to the restaurant at an off time and trying a stand-by wait. There is no guarrantee that will work, though.

You may have good luck as folks already at the world cancel their adrs. You may want to try walking up at opening in case they are taking anyone. But I'd keep calling every day, maybe twice a day while you are there. JJ

We ate b'fast at Ohana's last week with a very last minute reservation. Keep calling. Plans change, and you may be able to get in. I also got lunch at the castle at the last minute on 3 separate occasions! Keep calling! It'll be worth it.

Try first thing in the morning when they first open thats your best shot!

Try Conceirge when you get to the resort....sometimes they can help you out.

Well, if they're booked, they're booked...showing up in person with an incentive isn't going to help. Just keep calling, and maybe somebody will cancel.

Don't forget that anyone with a reservation computer can look up O'Hana, so when you're at any restaurant ask a host/hostess out front if anything's available. And people do cancel at the last minute, so keep trying.

I would keep calling now and when you arrive. We had this issue in Dec. for Coral Reef and we finally got a reservation on the last night.

Yes, keep calling from and when you get to your resort call from there every a.m. and while you're in the parks. Remember, this is among the top 10, maybe the top 5, most popular restaurants in all WDW and people can book from six months in advance, as many experienced WDW'ers do. It's not like a regular "real world" type of restaurant reservation process.

But people miss or cancel their ADRs all the time, even for the coveted Ohanas, so you really may have a chance. Good luck! It's a great restaurant, the only one of many we tried in 2005 that we made a must-do on our second trip this fall!

No, bribing the Host/ess won't help. If there's room, you'll get seated. If there's no room, you won't.
