How to get memory maker for daughter going with school

Hi,
I posted on "theme parks attractions and strategies" and got no response, hence I am trying here as budget board is my favorite forum....

DD 14 is to going with the school to WDW during spring break, I planned to get her the memory maker so that she and her friends can use it (and our family will be going for the last two days for the school trip, hence we will be able to share it as well, but if it were just us, then I don't think it justifies the cost, we will be staying offsite, DD14 will be staying onsite)...
I haven't been to WDW for a few years and I noticed process has been changed...and hope someone can let me know what is the easiest, and dummy proof way to do it...

b. I created an account for DD14 on my disney experience and I added her as my family and friends...


Now I do not know the next step.
1. do I buy the memory maker under my disney experience or should I buy it under her name? I want her to share with her friends, but I am concerned that her friends begin to download or share with their families and they begin to download...( I am concerned she begins to share her account with her friends)

b. If I put it under my name, I assume she will have a Magic Band when she checks in...how can I get the MB links to her "my disney experience" account? Is it necessary? can she get all her rides photos on her MB and her friends got their rides photo on their MB and then when they come back, I add them all to my account, then download the photos for them...are there anything for me to add the MB to my account? (in the past, it will be photopass id numbers, but if they have MB, they do not need photopass card, right?)


BTW, I still have a voucher for photopass CD which I bought in 2010 and I was told by disney that I cannot upgrade to MM, they can either give me the credit which I cannot use to purchase MM or that they can give me a refund... Are there other options?
BTW, photopass also told me that there are no other options, as they discontinued photo CD option...Is it true that I can't use it even if I am not interested in the rides photos?
What is Attraction+? I found out Attraction+ when I googled, is it still available? I thought the Attraction+ will cover the rides options...

I believe it is true no more CDs for photopass at wdw.. DL still uses them... Now when I purchased mm.. I did it under my MDE account which had all of us 3 and then since my brother was linked in MDE he used it also...i BELEIVE if you buy it under your name you can link yours and your daughters and then you would need to link your daughters friends to your account ( someone correct me if that's wrong) then when you purchase MM it will ask you to assign one person who can DOWNLOAD and make the edits... So it is assigned to your account then only you can download them (unless you share are log in and password with her friends) I made a CD on my own and give it to my brother as his copy

Make sure everyone who is your friend on your mde account has selected the option for you to share and purchase their pictures. All pictures taken between friends will show up in each others accounts.

thank you. But if they are not linked to my account, can I get their photopass id card to enter into my account so that I can download the pictures for them? Will they be able to use photopass ID card for rides photos? I am assuming they will have the MB, but if I do not link them, is there any ID on the MB that I can use instead of the photopass ID card?
I want to get the pictures for the kids, but then I really don't want our adult pictures show up in their accounts...
What about attraction+? I googled and found someone mentioned attraction+, which seems to complement my existing photopass voucher? is it true that I cannot get the photoCD using my old photopass voucher?

I have an additional question, how can she use fastpass+? she was a big fan of fastpass, but we haven't been WDW for a few years...given it is a school reservation, hence she won't have the ticket until the day of visiting the park, can she still use fastpass+?

When you order MM you will still get a hard plastic card in the mail that you can "scan" at the ride photo kiosk. In theory if she they are all together I dont see why she cant scan her card on more than one photo (not sure about that though). I BELIEVE also if you do get a photopass card (not the one from MM) that you can add it later (?) Again someone chime in if I am wrong..
Now about the fastpass+ since she will not have her ticket number until the day she arrives she will have to schedule fastpass at the kiosk.. UNLESS they can give them the tickets the night before and she can add it into MDE and schedule fastpass+ the night before through the app. If she is staying onsite then she will be issued a band BUT again if not tickets it linked to the band until the day of I think they can link the fastpass+ to the band at the kiosk...

You can use your magic band, mm card, or photo pass card to associate all your photos to your MDE profile. Attraction photos and select dining photos are also apart of MM. At the attraction you just give the screen number and they scan it on.

I find MM a great deal. I set a goal on how many pics I want to get. Pre purchase at 169.99. So if I get 169 pics that's a 1.00 a photo.

I'll be getting good use this time around. We are going for spring break as a family and then my daughter is going for senior trip 11 days later. She will get to add pics then to since it falls within the 30 day window from usage. Yippee!
