We will be at WDW the first week of Oct. We are going to do Epcot one morning and have lunch at Le Cellar. After lunch we would like to go to MGM. What is the best way to get there from Epcot? I didn't think they have a bus that goes there. We are stay at the Pop so we can use Disney transportation. Is there a hotel nearby that we could go to get a bus?

Thanks for any help!!

I believe you can take the boat to the boardwalk and catch another boat to MGM from there.

Take the boat at the Gateway entrance/exit next to France.
it will stop at 3 hotels first the last stop is MGM

Like Pirate-Jeff said, take the boat, and stay on it til it gets to MGM. Will be about 25-30 minute trip, as I recall.
You could walk it, but you won't beat the boat by much if you do.

You can also walk. It is a very pleasant walk from Epcot to MGM and there is a walkway. You head out from the International Gateway and can walk by either the Boardwalk or Yacht & Beach Club resorts. You will also pass by the entrance of the Swan & Dolphin on your way to MGM.

When you leave Le Cellier, take a right and walk through England. Do not go over the bridge toward France. Instead take another right before the bridge and walk down to the dock at the International Gateway.

There is also a bus from the front of Epcot to MGM but since you will already be at Le Cellier, I would take the boat. The route is IG>BWI/BWV>Y&BC/BCV>S/D>MGM. The route reverses from MGM to IG.

We always walk from Epcot to MGM, but will sometimes leave open the option for the boat if the timing works. The walk is probably 1.5-2.0 miles. We have always beat the boat, all things being equal. As others have said, leave Le Cellier, go past United Kingdom Pavailion and exit Epcot at the International Gateway. If there's a boat there, feel free to catch it, but depending on timing and crowds (unloading and loading) it will take 30-45 minutes to get to MGM. If you start walking in the direction of the Yacht and Beach Club, you could also catch a boat there, or continue walking to the Swan and Dolphin and catch the boat there. IMO, timewise, it doesn't make sense to catch is at the Boardwalk, because if you're at the Boardwalk you can definitely walk to MGM faster than the boat - since the boat has to make two more stops before going to MGM.

It is quite a nice walk between Epcot and the Disney Studios. That is, of course, if the weather is nice....like no chance of rain and not too hot.

We got caught once in two rain storms after leaving the Boardwalk on our way to the Disney Studios. The first storm was minor and passed quickly. The second one was BIG and we were stuck between the underpass where we could have stayed dried and the Studios entrance so we got totally drenched!

Assuming nice weather I would walk it. Many things to see on the Boardwalk side. You may also want to check out the great resorts and restaurants in this area.

If the boat is loading the ride is around 25 minutes. If you have to wait you will always beat it by walking.
