How to get from Animal Kingdom to Coronodo?

We will be spending the day at the Animal Kingdom park and would like to have dinner at the Maya Grill in the Coronodo Springs resort. Can we walk? If so how long of a walk? If it's too far to walk, is it a quick bus ride?

No, you can't walk it. It's at least a few miles from AK to Coronado Springs, and you'd be walking along a busy highway with no sidewalks. There is bus service between AK and CS, though, as long as AK is open. So, if your dinner finishes after AK closes, you'll need to take a bus to a theme park that's still open, or DTD, and then switch to a bus to your resort.

If you're a first-timer, one of your biggest surprises will be the distances at WDW. Remember, the place is the size of a major city, and the maps are kind of deceptive in that things that are miles apart look like they're right next door.

No you can't walk. Its too far. There are no side walks. There is a bus for each resort, free of charge.

May I ask why you are making a special trip to eat there? I'm sure its fine, there are just good choices for dinner at the Animal Kingdom that would save you the trouble of the bus ride.

Thanks for the advice. Someone told me you could walk from MK to the Contemporary. On the map it looks like it might be the same for AK and Coronado. Maybe we'll pick another restaurant. I guess I was thinking that some day me might be able to stay there (we're staying at a value this time) and I kind of wanted to check it out. Thanks!

We had a great meal at Maya and would go back there even if not staying at the resort.

The bus ride wouldn't be a problem and you could just catch a bus from Coronado back to a park/transportation to get back to your resort.

Yes, you can walk from the MK to the Contemporary. There is a nice walkway, and the walk is pleasant. About 10 minutes at a very leisurely pace. There is no walkway from AK to Coronado. Just simply take the bus from AK to CSR.

Resorts/Themeparks that are walkable:

MK to Contemporary
Epcot to BWV/BWI/YC/BC/BCV/Swan/Dolphin
Disney Hollywood Studio to BWV/BWI/YC/BC/BCV/Swan/Dolphin

The rest all require some form of transportation.

You can also walk to DTD from SSR. OKW to DTD is doable, but not at night (path is not lit).
