The easiest way would be to go that gas station across from Boardwalk right near the main road leading to the Epcot resorts. They defintiely have Mike's Hard and a lot of other types of malt liquor and beer. That will be about a $5 each way cab right. Dont' sweat it!
You can also get Tiffany Towncar to and from MCO that will allow you to make a grocery stop.
OR - my suggestion would be to go on priceline or hotwire and rent a car. So much easier, IMO to have your own transportation than to rely on Disney buses and cabs. Then you can come and go anywhere as you please, and parking is always free. Rental at MCO is so easy because most of the main car companies (but not Hertz, FYI) have their cars right in the terminal garage so you just walk outside of the airport and pick up your car - no shuttle. Couldn't be easier.
I think the checking alcohol idea is not a good one. Talk about a heavy load and a hassle!
