How to find the best air fares.

Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone has a site to research for the best air fares.

DH & I want to fly to TAMPA Christmas week to see my 90yo parents for the holidays.

I am in CA.

Right now Jet Blue and SWA is showing around $600.00pp.

I was wondering if I could do better than that.

Google Flight Matrix - easy way to see what prices are quickly - it will not show chartered planes like South West though.

Also don't forget that there are many airports in Florida that are within 1 to 3 hours driving distance from Tampa... Check the other airports to see if there is a better deal and rent a car.

Checked quickly looks like one of the cheapest is Frontier Airlines to Orlando (MCO)

LAX to MCO -- Direct flights -- $199 each way

An hour and 10 min drive from Orlando to Tampa

If you fly Frontier, read their web site carefully do you understand what extra fees you will be charged (for seat assignments, carry on luggage, etc.)
