How to drive yourself CRAZY in Disney World!

Great start, looking forward to more.
I totally relate to the saying that cracks you up and know one but your family gets why. For my family it's still "Mommy I'm picking my nose" in a very sing song voice. (FYI it was a witnessed moment in a doctor's office that put us all in stitches. Still does.)

YAY! Thanks for reading everyone, and responding. I'm sorry I made it sound like my dad lost his kidneys . hehe

now on the the trippie

Sunday June 30, our first offical day at Dinsey World. I had planned for it to be Blizzard Beach day. Only four of us wanted to go, Me, Baby Cousin (Alina), Austin, and Katelynn. Everyone else wanted to sleep in and take their time.
I know, I know. I tried to tell them Disney is not for sleeping in, but obviously only three people listened.

The Plan: The four of us leave for 7:00 a.m. to arrive at BB for the opening at 9:00. Meet up with everyone at the hotel for 1:00 shower and leave for Epcot.
Reality: We left for 7:45 and arrived at BB for 9:30. The rest of the gang didn't even get up until 10:00.
Except for the donor and Rachel, they got up around 8:00. Lucky for the donor, Rachel is a morning person.
When Rachel woke up, guess what she wanted? Everyone now, say it with me...PANCAKES! Yes the child wanted pancakes again.
While everyone else was eating pancakes we were having the time of our lives in Disney World.

I had yet to step foot in one of Disney's water parks until July 30. I will never plan a vacation without a water park now. It was so much fun!! If you haven't been yet stop waiting and go NOW! You won't regret it, I promise. Unless you don't like water, then you might regret it.

Our first ride was the family raft ride.
It was on top of that hill.
Which you get to by taking a ski lift or walking up the steps.
The ski lift line looked too long. We decided to scale the mountain by foot, and by we I mean me.
I almost died right there at BB climbing up the @#$% mountain. That is a lot of steps. I couldn't breath for about 4 minutes. Then Katelynn decided she didn't want to do it because it looked scary.

"Katelynn, its not scary" said myself
"Oh, so you've been on it" Katelynn says in her snippy 11 year old voice
"Um, not really" says me
"So how do you know then?" said Katelynn
"Oh look we are next in line" says me

We hop in our raft. Alina, Katelynn, Austin, and then me. Somehow I end up on one side all by my lonesome. The other three we squished together. The hot , sweaty, sun-tanned man errr I mean lifequard pushed us and off we went.
Katelynn proceeded to SCREAM.
I grabbed her foot
because it was the only thing I could reach.
I didn't help and she continued to scream.
so we all joined in.
Each time the raft would go up a little hill, guess who ended up at the top?
If you guessed Katelynn, you get 10 points.
The rest of the ride went like this
Katelynn:
TERROR
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
"I'm Gonna Die" :guilty:
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
AHH AHHHHHHHHH
TERROR

Us:
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :moped:

We get to the end of the ride and Katelynn says....
AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN!!

So we do it again. but not before we get our picture taken, in our swim suits with no make up and wet limp hair. THANKS ALOT DISNEY!

This time we take the chair lift, why? Beause I'm still recovering from walking up 899999393939 steps.
We do the single rider line.
Only we don't tell Katelynn.
Because I know she won't go.
She sees the ride and it goes like this..

"Kristi, I wanna ride with you" (Katelynn)
"Um....lalalala, what? I didn't hear you" (Me)
"I said, I'm riding in this with you, look there are no seat belts" (Kate)
"Its a small world...." (Me)
"Are you listening" (Kate)

heheh I'm soo evil :) .
We all rode the chair lift and did the family raft again. And I showed them my picture bracelet thingy so we didn't have to go through another photo op.

After that we did some kinda slide with inner tube and you could choose 3 different routes.

It goes like this

Wait in line to get a tube
grab tube and head up the stairs
wait in line
pick your slide
wait in another line
WEEEEEEEEEE all the way down
return your tube to another person who is just beginning the process
repeat

Next up: I almost die AGAIN, and Where the heck is everyone else???

this is a fun report! Our family has catch phrase of the day too, sometimes they last longer, like months or years. When I tell my sister about your "Where's my stockings" - I need ya to know that we'll probably be adopting that one for a while. That is really funny! Can't wait for more! :yay:

It really made the vacation happier. Anytime someone would get upset we would all start saying "Where's my stockings" and everyone would smile. :goodvibes

OMG this is so funny! I should send my DS(8) with you and then you'll know what screams are!

He loves to snow ski, does the chair lift without any problems so I figured Soarin' would be a piece of cake. Showed him what I could find about Soarin' and he was like NO WAY! Stacy347 (his bestest Auntie) bribed him with the now so popular pin collection he had going on and we got him in line.

Once we got in there he FREAKED OUT. He grabbed onto a pole and screamed. My sister and I had to pry him off FINGER BY FINGER! Then when one hand was free he somehow managed to grab on to something else all the while screaming I'M NOT GOING ON THAT! NO NO NO! I'M NOT I'M NOT I'M NOT!

BB will not be in his near future, at least not with me.

Seems like you have a great way with the little kids and sounds like you had a great time even with the near death water slides :)

There is a trend beginning.

Katelynn is scared to go on everything, and is scared the entire time she is on a ride.
When she gets off, however, she had a blast and wants to go again.
The same thing happens when we head on over to the tobaggon racers. She doesn't want to do it.

Katelynn and I have a little talk. I tell her that she is having fun on everything even though she is scared at first.
She tells me she knows, and I'm right. (and we all knew I was right, all of the time, even when I'm wrong which is never ..so there :p )

On the tobaggon racers you lay on you belly and slide down via a purple mat.
Even women have to lay on the mat.
on your belly
Even if you are well endowed because of you grandmother on you mom's side.

I got on my little mat and proceeded to lay down.
I couldn't push off good because my big ole belly was weighing down the mat.
because I don't weight 75 pounds like the little tike next to me who went flying.
So If you were at BB on July 30 and you saw some crazy looking gal in her 20s trying to get down the tobaggon racers, it was me. :wave2:

Next, apparently I hadn't been embarassed enough, we did the other slide with the mat and the laying on the belly.
This slide is a racing type thing.
I am a really sore loser. I wanted to WIN WIN WIN!!!
It also had these handle bars so you could push yourself off better, PERFECT!
I could do this, I was all pumped up.
Then..
3....2.....1
GO

I could not figure out how to push myself off. Everyone else was like 10 feet in front of me.
I was determined to catch up, so I sucked in my gut and kicked off that slide really hard.
and WHAM
I went flying, I mean FLYING down that darn slide.
I left about 2 years of my life on the first hump and like 3 on the next hump.
Everyone else stopped but for some reason I was still going.
I went to the end of that sucker, I mean the very end, I'm not lying.
My cousin, Alina, was laughing so hard because landed at least 15 feet in fron of her. I was the chubby bullet on a purple disney mat that day.
I really needed a break after that so a dip in the lazy river was in order.

Nothing interesting about the lazy river.
We realized we had not clue what time it was or where the heck everyone else was?!
Lunch and a phone call later we found out that they rest of the gang were STILL eating "brunch". It was 1:00 at this point.
and Katelynn said...
lets do the family raft again, so we did.
Then we hit the wave pool and left the Blizzard sunburnt and thirsty.
But not before taking a shower and seeing the naked Brazilians girls changing in to their swimsuits, which completely shocked Katelynn.

next up again...Are they ever gonna get here?
And
How I got sick for our Le Cellier reservations :furious:
