How to do POP w/ DS17 and DD4 ???

We are going in October. DS17 is undecided on whether or not he will go. We can only afford one room so he will probably get the 2nd bed. DD4 will be too large (and too offended) to even consider sleeping in a crib. Are the rooms large enough to accomodate a sleeping bag on the floor?

Any recommendations on how to handle the situation? TIA!!!

I haven't been there yet, but a sleeping bag sounds like a great idea. I would bring something to put under the sleeping bag as well. From what I hear public floors can harbor all sorts of microscopically small bad things.

You didn't say the total party to stay in the room. It it just you and two kids or is it you, another adult, your DS17 and DD4.

If it is just you, DS17, and DD4. You shouldn't need a sleeping bag. You should have two queen size beds in your room. If you PM me, I will send you pictures but there are pictures on Deb's website. www.wdwig.com.

Your DS17 can have a bed to himself. You and your DD4 can share a bed. Then each of you can get a good nights sleep. The POP beds and rooms are not so small that someone would have to sleep on the floor.

Have a great trip!

If its you and another adult. They could easily sleep in one bed and I am sure you DS17 and DD4 could sleep in one bed. Don't forget to pack bathrobes for the rotation dressing I experience with my neighbors next to me. Mom and daughter dress hung outside people watching while son and father dressed!

I had really nice neighbors from Georgia!

Can your DD sleep with you? That is what we did our last trip and it worked pretty well. You definitely could do a sleeping bag on the floor or buy and bring an aerobed... they have dorm ones at LNT and BB&B for I think $60 (less with a coupon).

And there are NO queen beds at Pop... only 1 king or 2 doubles.

Sorry, I should have specified that it will be me, dh, ds17 and dd4. DD4 sleeping with dh and I is out of the question because they are only double beds to begin with - barely big enough for the two of us! I don't really like the idea of dd4 sleeping with ds17 and I'm sure if I suggested it, he would certainly decide not to go. :confused3

It's looking like an aerobed is the way to do. I'll look into them. Any one aware of any sort of portable cot?

We've already got a system down for dressing in the morning. Last time we went, ds was 15, so I got in the shower first and put my pjs back on. When he got in the shower, I got dressed and he knocked before he came out. LOL! :rotfl: Anyway, it worked for us. :flower:

actually, we've requested and been given extra blankets, etc. to make a "bed" on the floor in our room (DH and I can't sleep in a double bed together--he's soooo big). DD used to have fun "camping out" on the floor and we didn't have to carry a sleeping bag with us.

Yep there's plenty of room! We just got back (only 2 of us) but next to the bed near the batroom is a gap about 4' wide, plenty of room for a sleeping bag!!!
