Haven't gone before, so I'm fine-tuning my itinerary for October hours:)
This is pretty difficult as a newbie---please help!

We have a 3 and 5 yr old; I'm planning on doing a round at FantasyLand everytime we go. DO NOT wanna go commando, so if it looks like that's what I have planned please let me know :)

Here's what I have divided up:

First MK Day
* Fantasyland
* Liberty Square
* Mainstreet
NAP
* 3:00 Share a Dream Come True Parade
* Adventureland

Second MK Day
* Fantasyland
* Mickey's Toontown Fair
NAP
* Tomorrowland

Third MK Day--it's a half-day
* Fantasyland
* CRT
* Frontierland
* Tom Sawyer's Island (thanks, Cindy :))
NAP

So do y'all think it's doable? I don't think I forgot any of the lands...
There will be a free day on our last day too to do our favorites as well.

Thanks :)

I think its very doable. My only suggestion, if you are staying on site, would be to try and make one of those MK Fantasyland mornings an Early Entry morning.

Fantasyland is best done during EE. There are very short lines then.

Oh and you didn't write it in, but kids love Tom Sawyers Island. Its almost a land in of itself.

Have Fun!

Yikes--Tom Sawyer's Island! I KNEW I was forgetting something :) Originally I had Aunt Polly's marked down for a lunch when we go, but now they no longer do lunch :(
Back to the drawing board!

We'll be there for two EEs, but I don't know if we can make it on time (hopefully)

Thanks, Cindy!

FFerret,

I think the lands aren't as important as the attractions and shows that you do. MK is not that large, so moving from one land to another is fairly easy. Fantasyland is a great place to start, especially if you can line up for Dumbo just after the park opens. The other Fantasyland attractions are great for your kids (except possibly Snow White and Tea Party - they scare quite a few youngsters). For your young kids, let them meet characters for autographs and photos if they're up to it. (Tip - stand behind or to the side of the character to get your child's expression as he or she approaches the character). And check the MK Times Guide (that you get as you enter the park) for shows and parades. Especially try to catch Belle at Fairytale Garden. Other favorites may be Toontown Fair, Tom Sawyer Island, Country Bear Jamboree, and the Tiki Room. Have a great time!

Steven Barrett, author of the "Hassle-Free Walt Disney World Vacation" and "Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Secrets", both books published by The Intrepid Traveler Publishers.

Steven--very grateful :)

That's a great tip about positioning for the photos too. I definitely want to do autographs--almost done with the books I'm making right now. Don't know if the kids will want to, but Mommy certainly will (esp. villains!)

I do want to make those special shows as well--need to read up on Belle's storytime; haven't heard much about that.

The way I figure it consdering my children's age the main focus will be on the MK--if thre's just not enough time to do the biggies then I'll gladly take away time from the other parks.

Tomorrowland is often included in the Early Entry mornings. I'd suggest getting the little cars early, too. So, one EE morning knock off Fantasyland and the next EE start with Tomorrowland. Toontown doesn't open until 10, I don't think.

Thanks, sters :)

I believe you're right about Toontown opening later as well.

Looks like I was wrong about having two EE days--I only have one, and a CRT right in the middle of the magic hour (DOH!), but I'm still incredibled stoked :)

I'm still kinda skeptical about how I have the lands paired each day--looks like no matter how much you plan you'll still have to play it by ear

Thanks again to everyone for their help :)

FFerret (or is that MMink? ;) ),

The most important thing you said was:
no matter how much you plan you'll still have to play it by ear
You never know what will catch your little ones' eyes, or what they thought they wanted to ride but suddenly say "no no no." It's good (even essential) to have initial plans, but once you're there, make your highest priority having fun with your family.

Very wise, DrTomorrow :)

And minks are wonderful critters :)
(Now I've got the marvelous mad Madam Mim running through my head)
