How to create "Vacation Countdown Ticker"

I guess I'm not all that great at directions. Can anyone give me child prove directions on how to create my vacation coutdown ticker? I get to Step 3 where i input my text and then I enter "create ticker". From there I don't see any further instructions and then I lose everything I entered??

You will see four options with the ticker "address".

You have to cut and paste the BBCode into your signature page at the top. That is the option for most message boards.

You can do multiple tickers, like in my signature, by loading them into your signature page in the order that your trips are scheduled.

Still pretty thick headed. Tried the cut and copy and now I just get a bunch of letters etc

You are not picking the right option - it should start "url" - not a-ref....
