We were at WDW in October of 2002, March 2003, and June 2003. We purchased an Annual Pass for the March trip.

When we came back in June I made reservations for the end of December early January - I want to get one more trip out of the passes.

My wife says no way. We live in Minnesota and she wants to go somewhere warm.

I want to go back to Disney as do our 4 kids. I had to work really hard for the June trip and now I am really up against it.

I promised a different trip - just the two of us to a warm place in March orApril but still - no way.

Any ideas??

Why won't my dh be like you? I wish I were in her shoes.

Anyway, isn't it way warmer in Fla. than Minn. in Dec. and Jan.? I live in San Antonio Tx and it is sometimes in the 80's here at that time. I believe Fla. is about the same. Maybe you should do some research into Fla. weather/ temps and present it to her that way.

hope you get your disneyfix!

It is somewhat warm in WDW in December. It's not tropical like other times of year, but it sure is warmer than Minnesota. We were there Christmas 2000 and it was in the low 70s during the day, but would be chilly in the evenings, but not bad with a jacket.

Could you compromise with a few days at Disney and then head to one of the coasts for a short cruise? I think Royal Carribean and Carnival go out of the nearby ports as well as the Disney Cruiseline. If she's not into cruises, maybe you could fly or drive down to southern Florida for some really warm weather.

If it's not possible to make two trips out of one, could you stay in her very favorite resort? The Epcot resorts are all nice, as are Grand Floridian and WL at Christmas time. And throw in some perks like concierage, spa treatments and nice dinners.

Good luck!!

How about reversing the months? Take her somewhere warm for dec/jan and then do Disney again in march. The ap is good for one full year after purchase. :D

I thought of this combo trip but hadn't thought about the cruise part.

The march trip won't work because all of the kids don't have a stretch of time off together.

We know the weather - she wants 80's +++

My ressies are at the Swan.

I will keep plugging away!!!!!

Keep the ideas coming

Thanks

It is definitely nicer here than Minn that time of year. I think we're in for a typical winter and it should be around 70's here. If you can't do the cruise/land combo thing (I'm wondering if they're already booked on the cruise) What about taking a couple days and drive to Miami or the keys? Miami is 3 hours from here and Key West is 8. You can always pick a key in between. If you're getting a rental car here, make sure you get unlimited mileage. It's fun to go to the keys that time of year and see all the palm trees decorated with lights.
