We had the worst experience with Camper Rental Adventures Sept 30-Oct 6 2021.
Dirty broken down RV , unsafe for children. nails sticking out of broken wood etc
Refrigerator went out all food spoiled
Replaced with a different camper. sewage backing up in toilets and shower
they are renting out old, dirty, unsafe, Rvs. showing different pictures on their website.
Dirty deleting negative reviews to keep up their standing.
It made for the worst Disney Experience i have had in 25 years of visiting.
I feel that Disney needs to be informed and ban this company.
Is there a website, email address that anyone knows of to contact Disney ?
Thank You

@disney-inspired is correct. The vendor you chose is not a Disney-endorsed/approved RV/camper provider. Disney only lists two such providers on their website today:

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/services-amenities/

That would currently be Luxurious RV Rentals LLC and Meacham's RV Rentals. And these names do change from time to time.

(click to expand the RV Rentals section).

Honestly, I don't see Disney has any role with your issue. If you had used one of their approved vendors above, they might.

Your resolution paths are probably in the direction of your credit card company (to dispute the charge for not providing the promised service) and the Better Business Bureau in whatever jurisdiction your vendor is located in.

I'm sorry that you had an unpleasant experience but that's a possibility with an unapproved vendor (no clear resolution path). Same thing happens occasionally with off-site golf cart vendors with folks who didn't book a Disney cart (or waited too long to book a Disney cart).

Good luck.

Thank you for posting about it here. My family is looking at options for summer 2023, and we will definitely avoid the company you mentioned. Unfortunately, there is really nothing Disney can do about it, since they already do not list that company as one they endorse, and they don't have a listing for companies to avoid (would probably cause them some issues if they did). Best way is word of mouth - the company might be taking down bad reviews, but sharing your experience here and any other message boards you might frequent can get the word out.

Actually Ft Wilderness has a fairly tight relationship with this company...It is pretty much a daily interaction. If there are significant problems I'm sure they (the Fort) would like to be made aware. Here is a number for Fort Wilderness: (407) 824-2900

We have a reservation with this company in a few weeks. Do you remember which camper you had that was unsafe? (Each camper has a name- usually a Disney character). Were you pleased with the condition of the replacement camper? If so, do you remember the name of the replacement? So sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. We used this company last year and had a fabulous experience. The condition of a rental can definitely make the experience magical or miserable though.

You could but it isn't Disney's problem. It is your problem. Disney's response to people making this their problem is to just shut it down and not allow it. How do you think we got to outside vendors can't diver golf carts or ecvs can't be dropped off if the renter isn't there to get it.

Yes, can you let us know which camper was acceptable and which wasn’t? My sister has a reservation in a few weeks with this company for New Years.

I too would like to know which unit you're renting. I made a reservation with them back in July I believe it was and am paid in full to take advantage of some special offers they made me. I am renting Doug because I needed a pet friendly. They also had a video of it on their page and it looked nice with the exception of one scuff on the wall. They just showed another one yesterday I believe it was copper which I had seen earlier in the blinds are all beat to hell but overall looked okay. I've looked at so many different reviews of them on different sites before I purchased and they were able to get me the best price for a pet friendly. This is our first year not bringing our own camper after trying the last two times after my dad passed away with an smaller motorhome than we used to have and it's hopefully going to be easier for my mom and I but now I'm getting worried

Hi, what was the camper name of the one you had a good experience? Thanks!

The only way to assure that you get a Disney experience is to rent from one of the preferred vendors, they have perks which the non-preferred vendors do not have that will make your check in, stay and check out as smooth as possible. They also pay Disney for the right to be a preferred vendor, they also have to follow very strict Disney policies concerning Disneys guests. I know of one guest that was staying in one of Disneys preferred vendors campers and the A/C went out at midnight in the middle of the summer, the owner came out and determined that the A/C unit was bad and could not get a new one until the morning. He called his contact at Disney and Disney put them up in a cabin at no charge until he replaced the A/C the next day. You will not get that with a non-preferred vendor, you will be out of luck until it is fixed. With that said myself and many others will always recommend Meachams RV Rental for the highest quality stay at the Fort. I have seen many of their campers and watched the professionalism of this family and they are second to none. I am in no way associated with them just giving my 2 cents worth.

We had the Mary Poppins. It was clean and in good condition. We had plenty of towels and kitchen supplies (I cooked several meals). They were friendly and easy to work with and even gave us a fire pit at no extra charge so we had no complaints. We were in the tent/pop-up loop and the company hooked up the water but reminded us that holding tanks can only hold so much but we were fully aware of this and it was no problem. I wonder if the OP wasn’t in a full hook-up site🤷‍♀️

Or if they were didn't go outside and pull the lever to drain the tanks occasionally? No other way for the tanks to back up idk..

Looks like they have many negative reviews on facebook from the past year regarding the condition of the campers and service (even though their overall review score is high). Regarding 'dirty deleting' that you mentioned, it is quite difficult for a business owner to delete negative reviews on yelp or facebook, the review has to violate facebook or yelp's terms of service (threats of violence, etc). Businesses can delete comments under photos and posts on their page much more easily than actual reviews.

It is a bummer this happened to you on vacation but the issue is probably best handled via your credit card company and the Better Business Bureau. The odds of Disney banning 1 company are extremely low, seems like that could result in lawsuits as they would be singled out. What they could do instead is ban the entire practice of dropping off rental campers instead unless you use their approved vendors, similar to the current ecv/stroller situation. No need to hurt responsible business owners just because Camper Rental Adventures has bad business practices.

This, absolutely this! Has been this for a good while now. Preferred agencies do get special perks like this, and they have a certain standard to the customer that Disney expects or they'll lose that preference.

Other camper rentals are a gamble for consumer, this means you. If its a bad experience it's between you and the vendor. Is there a possibility Disney might act on that vendor if enough complaints, possibly, but certainly not guaranteed. Disney still got their money for the site.

Your best bet is Better Business Bureau. If Disney were to act on them and stop them from setting up at FW, this doesn't help folks that might be getting campers from then setup at other locations. BBB and challenging credit card costs are best way to starve folks like that out.

Don't just go for keeping the weed out of the garden, eliminating it from the whole property is best option.

I would just chalk this up as a lesson learned and take it up with your credit card company. Disney only has a couple of preferred vendors yet there are soooo many businesses and individuals who rent out their campers. It's really a gamble when you're renting a camper. We have one and we NEVER rent it out to anyone or let anyone borrow it because people who don't own them generally don't know how to take care of them (no offense to renters... it's just a huge learning curve and it took us a while, too) We stayed at Ft Wildnerness a few months ago and had neighbors who were complaining that the trailer they had rented was such a great deal but it was old and dirty and had pet stains. Well... that's why it was a great deal. You get what you pay for when it comes to renting campers.

And I totally agree with not reporting this company and that company to Disney. Disney allows people to bring whatever camper they want. It's not their job to police rentals any more than it's their job to police the condition of the campers that people bring in. There are fancy campgrounds that do only allow certain types of RVs, and I'd prefer that Ft. Wilderness not become one of those places.

So it seems that you tried to outsmart everyone and do Disney on the cheap. You do not mention what size camper ? What loop ? And fnally what level of camping experience you have.
As others have stated this is not an approved vendor by Disney. Kind of like renting a car from Hertz or Bob's rolling inventory. You take a chance.
I mean there is a big difference between visiting Disney in a hotel and camping. Camping requires you to have knowledge and do certain things on your own. 25 years of hotel life would not make on a camper, any more than 25 years of driving a car makes on a motorcyclist.

Disney has no say in this, you will not get free easy compensation from Disney as they followed their part, provided the site.

Take it up with the credit card company. And you have made all the claims above, but not one picture to support it.
