How to change ressie to someone else?

I just rescheduled our trip, pushed it back a week and have a LOT of ressies to be cancelled. Before I offer them on here - just wondered HOW it's done. Do I simply call and tell them to put it in someone else's name and phone number? thanks!

I think someone here mentioned three-way-calling.
I've never done an ADR change over but, if it were me, I'd give the person interested in my ressy the ADR confirmation number and the name on the ressy. The receiver of the ressy could then call and say that he/she has to change the name on the ressy since her friend (who originally made the ressy) is no longer able to go...but the rest of the party is still going....

I don't know how it works exactly except for at CRT. We were originally going with another family who had to cancel. So some ADRs were in her name, some in mine, some under her phone # and some under mine. Most I was able to change party size, etc with no issues. EXCEPT CRT. What a freaking mess. We were all going together. Resrvation was under my phone # but her name for some reason. My friend had to speak with a manager, and then fax in a form saying it was ok to switch it over into my name.
The system is kida screwy!!

I canceled a few of my reservations in October 2007 and transferred them to another Dis family.

We exchanged first and last names, as well as phone numbers via pm. I called Disney with my confirmation number, asked them to change it to their name and phone number. I then PM'd them with her new confirmation number, party size and reservation time. It worked really well, but I suspect some of the ease was because there was no credit card hold involved.

When were your ressies originally for (which week, I mean)?

I think that one was a pain to switch because it involves acredit card and they do have a cancellation policy. The others it does not really matter whose name it is under since you are not charged anything if you don't show.
