Okay, first, I'm really sorry. I've never been to anything Disney before, and my husband just told me we're going to Walt Disney World at the end of April. I'm really excited, and trying to learn as much as I can! :earsgirl:

One of my major questions is how to carry everything?? Is there some sort of locker (like at a waterpark) you can rent where you can stash the huge tube of sunscreen and any cumbersome souvenirs you buy during the day so that you don't have to lug them around? (Obviously you wouldn't put a bunch of money in the lockers!)

How do you carry everything around? Should we just wait until the end of the day to buy any souvenirs? What kind of purse should (or shouldn't) I carry? Is my husband's wallet safe in his back pocket?

Any information you all can give me on this or similar topics would be really appreciated!! Thank you!

P.S. It's just the two of us.. no kids to carry! princess:

Hello! Welcome to the boards! :) You must be so excited---you are going to have such a fun time! When it comes to carrying stuff, don't stress out. Lockers are available to rent. We have never rented a locker though--i just carry a back-pack purse and stuff junk in there. Yes, your husband's wallet will be fine--if he's worried tell him to put it in his front pocket, just to be safe. Also, when you want to buy souvenirs you have the option of shipping your items either back to your Disney resort or to the front of the park, for no extra charge. That way you can pick it up on your way out or just pick it up back at your hotel--you have to be staying onsite in order to pick it up at your hotel. Have a wonderful trip!!! :earsboy:

FOR US:

Main Parks - backpack only.
Camera, sun lotion, wipes, mints, wallet, bottle water.

Water Parks - we get a locker for valuables and then a cooler with drinks, beach bag with towels, lotion etc. That way you can leave that all on a chair and not worry.

Absolutely ship to your room if on premises.

Lockers are at the parks and we have used them a couple times only.

HAVE A SUPER TRIP !

You didn't mention how many kids (if any) would be in tow. But we usually get by with just fanny packs -- every member of the party has one as long as they can walk! The kids keep 'their' stuff in theirs -- tickets, sunglasses, chapstick w/sunscreen, handy wipes, Disney dollars, snack, etc. I usually have the sunscreen in my fanny pack -- I buy several smaller tubes rather than one big one.

If we're travelling with several younger children, we take one backpack that has a change of clothes for each child, some extra wipes, a bigger bottle of sunscreen, etc. I usually make the DH carry it, :p but sometimes I take a turn.

Definitely send packages back to your room if staying on grounds -- or ship directly home from any store on the property. Some things, like large snow globes, I don't even want to take on the plane! You won't be able to send back to your room the last couple of days, but I'm usually out of money by then anyway!

Also, if you're staying on property, your room key can act as your credit card. There really isn't a need to take your credit cards into the parks with you -- just a little cash and your room key and you'll be good to go.

Have a great trip!
