Does anyone have the information handy on how to bypass the AC units in the rooms so they dont go on & off all night. A long while ago I had printed out the information but dont know where i put it since its been a while. thanks

If it can be bypassed here's how:

1. Push the Power/On-Off button and the Down Arrow at the same time.
2. If you do this correctly, "bp" will appear on the readout.
3. You can then adjust the temperature to your desired setting.
4. You may have to do this everyday.

If that doesn't work, call housekeeping and they'll send someone to override it for you.

Unless they've changed it, try this -- On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (button that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly, you will see the letters "bp" where the temp normally shows. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it stays at that temp. You might have to do this once a day if the thermostat re-sets after 24 hours.

I remember a stay at the poly quite a few years ago, hubby and I woke up and wondered what happened to air conditioning. Everytime we would get up out of bed and go to the thermostat the air would come on. We then figured out it was motion controlled so we were up all night every hour moving an arm or a leg to get the air on. The next day we called front desk and asked for someone to fix it, but no one came. So it was the same thing the next night, we cut our stay short and left. We spoke to a manager and they gave us money off our stay because of the trouble. I wonder if it is still the same. Thanks for the hack I hope it still works.

This thread is 8 years old.
It is possible the directions no longer apply, as written 8 years ago.
It would be much more helpful to start a new thread and solicit current information

I agree. If it is allowable on this board people can state which resort the hack is for.

Deb.

I can tell you I tried this last year at GF! It did work to the extent that I got the screen that said BP but then I wasn't sure if I then pressed the temp down that it would work. I ended up calling and someone came and did something with the thermostat and it was fine the rest of the trip!

I guess my question was when you get to the BP screen, does pushing the temp button reset the bypass? I remember wondering what to do at that point.

Anyone else?
