Apologies if this has already been asked, but has anyone managed to book a stay on the Star Wars Galatic Starcruiser from the UK?
We waited 5 days for a response from Disney as to how to do this and it did feel as if Guest Services themselves weren’t sure. We’d heard that phone calls re reservations were taking hours to be answered and we didn’t want to spend the amount of money this would mean by holding on a call to the USA. The UK WDW number advised they couldn‘t help with the booking, and finally we were given a different number to be told that you can only book a stay if you are already in the USA. Given we would need to physically be on holiday, the chances of availability would be slim to none - and you‘d want to have organised the whole holiday and not only part of it anyway!
Having spent a lot of years and money holidaying at Walt Disney this feels like the Disney appreciation of the international customer market has not been considered at all, and if the only way you can book is by being in the USA already then this should be stated in the information so it’s clear for all and saves everyone time. However, given the difficulty we had in getting this single response to the question (and also that we’ve seen UK posts of the experience itself) we wondered if this was actually correct.
