How to book a 9th guest?

For the resorts that have the disclaimer "Exclusive to Members Booking with Points: 9th Guest can be accommodated, but no additional bedding, linens or towels will be provided"..how do you book the 9th guest? When I go to book with 9 people in one of these rooms, I get the warning that this room only allows 8 people and if I proceed I will only be allowed to have 8 people on the reservation.

You will need to call MS to add the 9th person.

I've had 9 on a reservation so can confirm it has been allowed. I believe we had to call MS to update the guests.
