I am going to the WL in Aug and I was booking concierge, but thinking of dropping it. I need to keep this a surprise for my wife, because she thinks we are going to CSR. So I have to make all the plans myself. I want to go to the Correl Reef, the Fantasmic/dinner, Artest Point, and Mexico at Epcot for dinners. I want get two tickets for Circus De Soeul. I would also like to do the wildlife excursion at AK. Ok there you go, can anyone help me make these plans myself without having to go thru the concierge service? I really have no clue how to do this, so I will need details. THANKS EVERYONE

The meals are easy, just keep an eye on your dates. The window for making priority seating arrangements is 90 days. When you're within 90 days, call the 407-wdw-dine number. I think the only one you'll need to leave a credit card with is the Fantasmic dinner package.

For Cirque tickets, here is their direct website http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/CirqueDuSoleil/en/default.htm. Just follow the link on the bottom for "shows & tickets", then click on La Nouba. You can purchase them on line and see your seats immediately.

For the Backstage Safari (open to all guests aged 16+) is available to book by calling 407-wdw-tour. You mentioned the wildlife excursion, but I think that one is only for concierge guests. If you decide to drop concierge, you wouldn't be eligible for that one. DH and I did the Backstage Safari, it was excellent.

Now of course, you could always look into moving your reservation to a travel agent service like Dreams Unlimited. They are pro's when it comes to anything Disney and they will help you out by making priority seating and other arrangements. I've been using them for my past few trips and they are excellent. They're also a DIS boards sponsor. Most of the communication is via e-mail and you're assigned to one agent.

Why not just make your plans and send them to the pre-planning office via email, they do all the PS for you. You can tell them it's a surprise for your wife and they will do everything they can to help.

I sent my PS list and my list of tours I wanted to do to the pre planning office and the Yacht Club 5 months in advance and they added it to my record, then at the 90 day mark, every day for 8 days, I received an email after they made the reservation for me with the confirmation number. So now all my plans are made and I never had to pick up the phone once.

Use the pre-planning office staff to help get things set up, that is one of the perks for staying on the concierge floor. They do a great job and I have never had a problem. Besides you'd be surprised how they can get those hard to get reservations (PS) sometimes..

Good Luck!

Bracho, I think OP is considering dropping the concierge service and just staying in a standard room. If that's the case, he'd lose out on the pre-planning benefit and need to make all the arrangements himself. When processing all this Disney information, that can seem like a daunting task, but if you know the numbers to call and your preferred dates, it's usually pretty painless to do it on your own.

HeyTammiMcMan, good to see you again.....

I know.. I was hoping to talk him out of it...LOL I have made those PS and tour reservations before myself as well.. and it is rather easy to do as long as you are ready with your list.I just like concierge.

Good to talk to you again....
