HOw to be in the Mardi Gras Parade?

I realize it may change year to year, but since we're going at the beginning of the season, 'm looking for any ideas. I remember a big thread about it in 2003, but don't remember seeing too much last year. Did 2004 take a different stategy than 2003?

Do they do the parade on certain days or everyday? Sounds like fun...we will be there MON-FRI (leaving SAT morning). I would like info too, if that is ok???
