How to bake a ham.......DH version

So DH is at home today. I just asked him if he was going to cook supper. He said, "what do we have here to fix?" I told him there was a ham in the refrigerator. He said, "how am I supposed to cook a ham, put it in the microwave?" I asked if he never paid attention when I cook ham for Thanksgiving or Christmas. He said, "yeah, you put it in a bag with some type of liquid."......."so what kind of bag do I use, a Wal-mart bag?"



I told him not to worry about cooking supper.

one night i was working late and asked my husband to do dinner, there was chicken there so i said to use that

got home, and the chicken was cooked

no veg, no potatoes, no rice, no pasta, nothing

his excuse.....i only said to do the chicken

Thats to funny. I would have told him not to worry about it to.

My DH is a better cook than I am for sure. I would love for him to be able to cook everyday.

Yeah.....I know he's playing dumb.

Next time I'll go ahead and put the ham in the baking bag on the pan and include written instructions on how to pre-heat the oven and place the pan with the ham on it on the rack in the oven and how long to set the timer for.

My DH is an okay cook when he can follow a recipe, but I have a few stories of his cooking mishaps. My favorite is when we were still just dating and I didn't feel well so he offered to make dinner. It was spaghetti, so easy right? Well, he keeps calling from the kitchen and asking me how to do one thing or another. He finally calls me into the kitchen, waves at the stove and asks "Is that enough?" I see a large pot of pasta. I see a tiny saucepan of sauce. I recognize that there is definitely not enough sauce, tell him no and go back to my couch.

You guessed it, he was asking about the pasta.

We ended up with a LOT of pasta that night. Luckily, some friends randomly dropped by and, all being hungry and poor college students, were perfectly happy to wolf down our plain noodles.

I'll won't get to head home until about 6:00 so I'll just tell him it will be about 9:00 before I can have dinner ready since I need to stop at the store and then I'll have to come home and cook the ham for 2 hours. He will probably find the box of oven bags and read the directions then.......or order pizza.
