I actually did park at TTC without paying but it was not intentional. The route I took from our time share did not take us by any payment booths. It was just one day and it was not planned. The next planned MK day of our trip I paid to valet at the Contemporary (ADR at Chef Mickey) even though I knew I could park at TTC for nothing.

Transportation and Ticket center and no you don't park there for free. It's the $20 MK parking. As long as you've been on the Dis, you've certainly seen that before. There's no free parking. I agree with the PP that if you can't afford the $20, wait til next year.

Honestly it seems easier and a bit safe to pay the parking fee. It would probably be way less of a headache for you in the long run.

Just a thought here what time do the Disney Spring parking garages even open? I thought they opened after the parks do to discourage this very thing. I also know the resorts are getting much more strict on coming to "eat at the quick service" or "look for hidden Mickeys" because people were parking there to hop on buses which isn't really allowed. I believe you aren't really suppose to use the inner property bus system until you have either paid for parking at a theme park or paid to stay on site. If you are just being dropped off that is a different story but if you have a car you should be paying for parking.


OP just think is it really worth potentially being towed? I know some people claim it almost never happens at Disney but trying to get around paying for parking for your entire trip will up your chances and I have to imagine the cost of the tow truck and storage will end up being more than the daily parking fee.

Following my new besty on dis board. What a great place to meet new people with the same interests and starting new friendships. We are hoping to go to the park at the same time she seems to like the same rides as I do and everything. She even like turkey legs.

nelson you are asking people to guide you on how to cheat the system. If you read the rules of the Disboards you will see that you are not allowed to discuss cheating the system. However If you search the boards you will find ways. Disney however makes it very time consuming to get to the parks should you choose to do so and you also are breaking the rules so Disney has the right to enforce the rules and tow your car.

Also something to consider, because I know this gets brought up sometimes.. trying to get to a resort or Disney Springs, then get to the parks, and back to the resort or Disney Springs (DS buses don't even go to parks) after hours would be such a pain.. I think you will be much happier going right to your car after a long day at the parks.

I'm amused by the question. Not that we ever pay for parking since we stay at DVC resorts and usually don't have a car. But we live in Chicago and if we go to dinner or to the theatre both of which might well cost 150 or 200 for an evening my husband will walk many many many blocks to avoid paying for parking after he lets me out of course. He used to be able to park in front of the mission on south state street where the walk back to the car was always exciting but there are now even Meters there. He drives himself crazy to avoid paying 20 for garage parking for an evening. That and having to pay for a soda refill at any restaurant makes him nuts. We have not gone back to a few really good restaurants because they don't provide soda refills. I find it embarrassing when he chastises the server over this when they can't do anything about it. Me on the other hand will pay almost anything for convenience. After 34 years we've just learned to roll our eyes and keep our mouths shut.

I'm not cheating the system. But it's interesting to see loopholes people have found that the big corporation missed. I have always paid for parking in my rented minivan but had my nose out of joint when they increased the parking rate. Along with all the prices and at the same time the quality of food went downhill. For example when I was a kid the burgers were good now they are a little dry and tasteless. Not happy with the food at all.
