Here's the thing. Yes, Disney is a big corporation. But you can stay on site for less than $100/night and park for free, if you want to. Sure there are probably ways around it that are inconvenient, but trying to scheme the system to park for free and cook beef stew in a crockpot in your room are just ridiculous.
I just don't see why people will take a $5,000 vacation but complain about $20 to park. I totally understand that not everyone can do deluxe dining with park hoppers and stay at the Poly. I get that. But if the $20 to park was keeping me from relaxing on vacation, I would wait until I could afford it.
You don't have to go to Disney and eat crappy burgers if you don't want to.
