How to ask somone to be you BM

Ok I was wondering how all of you asked your bridesmaids. I want to do something cute but don't know how. I have it planned that we are going out to dinner and I"m suprising them with some sort of card/gift and then a suprise stop at Daivds to try on their dresses.
Any ideas for a cute card/gift?

Maybe if you have a cute picture of you with each of the girls individually you could get a nice frame and give it to them or something. Just make sure that you are confident that all the girls will say yes (not saying that someone won't want to be a bridesmaid). It just might put a damper on things if one of the girls that goes to David's with you has said no!

What I did is I found these nice silver jewlery boxes on sale for like $10 at things remembered and had thir names engraved. i wraped each one in tulle with ribbon and some hidden mickeys. On the inside of the box was a personalized letter (with Disney clip art) that asked "will you be my bridesmaid" I set it up before they got there and they found their presents ant the place settings....2 of my bridesmaids who are my cousins actually cried(happy tears of course )!!!!!
