How to activate my XM Satellite radio?

I just got a new Avalon and it came with XM Satellite radio and the service is already paid for. However, I don't know how to activate it. We have a navigation system and when we push the SAT button we get this preview screen and it says something about activating the satellite, and it gives a code, but I don't know how/where to put the code in??

I am a little technically challenged.... can someone help??
 
Love XM radio. You can also listen on your computer. When on their website click on listen now to sign up. You will need the serial number (or something like that) It's really cool!
 
Well, the problem is that on the XM activation page, they want you to pick you monthly plan and pay with a cc, etc. My Avalon is an associate lease, I work for Toyota, and they are picking up the tab on the monthly fee. I really didn't get any info with my car about the satellite, so I don't know how to activate it. I can't find a phone number on the XM website either.
 

Can you call the dealership? Since it doesn't seem to be just as simple as activating a regular XM radio, they might be your best, and only, bet.
 
There should be a button on your radio that when you hold it or press it, it gives you the serial number. Don't really remember how to do that, but the XM 800 # should be able to tell right where to get it!!!

Well I just talked to XM and the guy there didn't have a clue when I told him that I wasn't paying for it Toyota was. So I guess I'll just wait till I get back to work. I don't work for a dealership, and the car did not come from a dealership, I ordered it directly through Toyota.
 
That code is what you need to acitvate it and if its already paid for it should'nt be a problem on XM's side. I'd try again, sometimes you get someone else on the line who know a little more or who wants to help even more. Maybe even ask to talk to a supervisor but explain that the service is paid for, you just want to activate it. Good luck!!
