book ADR on line???? Am i like the stoopidest person on the planet?

Oh and Hi :rotfl:
This is my first thread here (I had no idea that there was a UK board!!)

We are travelling 23rd Oct - 8th Nov this year - staying at OKW and getting married on resort 31st Oct (coz we are massive horror fans)

Mega giddy and lots of questions as we are disney first timers (throwing ourselves in at the deep end lol)

Hello and welcome to the uk boards!

I'm not on a dining plan and I have booked my adrs through this:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/

I don't know if it is different if you are on a dining plan!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I got married in Orlando too, at Celebration, it was a fab day!

All your questions, just ask away!

Oh and I'm from West Yorkshire too! :)

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We are there at the same time as you :) Have you booked MNSSHP yet?

Welcome to the UK boards and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! :wave2:

If you click the link Lisa has posted, you can book ADR's on there :thumbsup2

Congratulations on the wedding!!

We fly out same day as you and fly back the day before.....and we're staying at OKW!!

Just remember, to log into your account on Disney.com to link your ADR's to your booking, I there's a good link on another Disney site I use, if you want this just let me know.

:wave2:
Thanks so much for the warm welcome

Cant believe so many of you are there at the same time :thumbsup2
and what a small world it is!! I am in south Wakefield Lisa :goodvibes

Yes, yes we are going to the MNSSHP - on the night of our wedding (halloween itself) so that is gunna be the biggest wedding reception ever! Especially seeing as tho there is only us and our 2 kids! :rotfl2:

I am going to try and sort out some ADR's today lol wish me luck.
I read through this board last night (i couldnt sleep) and there were so many of my questions already answered pixiedust:

CANNOT BELIEVE THAT GHDs WONT WORK :furious: Blimey - I am getting married and i have naturally curly hair... this situation needs immediate attention - thank god i found out before i travelled!!! ::yes::

And there have been some great threads about phones and car hire too!! Very useful and so good of you guys to give your time answering questions x

My GHDs work over there just the same as they do here! It depends which ones you have, I have Mark IV ones and I think the majority if not all of them more recently have the dual voltage so yours might be just fine!

Good luck with the ADRs, it is the first time I have used them other than one other time for one restaurant a few years ago and I found it pretty easy to be honest and I am going the first 2 weeks of July, only just booked and got the dates and times that I wanted for the restaurants I wanted! :)

Sounds like you are going to have a fun wedding! Who wants a run of the mill reception when you can go to MNSSHP? :rotfl:

I'm from Wakefield too! :goodvibes

We'll be there the same time too!

It depends how you booked your stay, but if you booked direct with Disney then my post from another thread might help:
I have managed to get it to work. In case it's useful I'll detail the steps I took:
Note: I booked online through WDTC UK. Everything I did online was direct from the UK site - no forcing other international versions.

- I had a 6 digit confirmation number, which I knew would not work for dining.
- I called the UK number, 0800 16 90 730, and asked for the correct number to use to link my reservation with the dining system. I was asked a couple of questions about my booking, then was given a 3-letter, 5-digit code, and was assured this was what I needed. (This was actually the second time I called as the first time the CM told me there were system problems and couldn't find the code - so if you're not successful, keep calling)
- I was unable to use this code to access my reservations from the My Reservations page, but, as it turns out, this didn't matter.
- On the Disney Dining page there is a link Use my dining plan to book pre-paid reservations. You need a Disneyworld.com account. If you are aren't already signed in you are taken to the sign in/create account page. Once signed in you are taken to the next step.
- You should have arrived at a page that says "Link Your Walt Disney World Reservation"
Then it asks for Confirmation Number, Last Name and Arrival Date. It won't let you enter an arrival date beyond 180 days, so you can't check this before then.
- Hopefully you will get a message saying the dining plan is linked, and will be able to book ADRs online out to 10 days beyond your arrival date.

Clearly I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, but my 180 day window opened a couple of days ago, and using my 3-5 code and the above steps I was successful.

Thank you so much  you guys are freaking awesome!
Its so bloody confusing and we would like to get it right as i doubt we will be able to do a holiday like this ever again!

WOW Lisa - hahahaha what are the chances of us both being from Wakey?! :goodvibes

My GHD's are from 2003 - i know that because i bought them as a treat to myself after my youngest was born... they are still going strong, so they have done very well... but doesnt sound like they are compatible with WDW

That DDP link is SUPER! And very timely as i will be trying to sort it all in an hour or so.

Congrats. Apart from the getting married bit (!), you're pretty much mirroring our trip too!

Me+wife, 2 boys, OKW 20/10 - 3/11 and doing the MNSSHP on Halloween itself! Are you going in a wedding dress? Best costume ever!

With regards to the ADRs, if you want to link your dining plan to the ADRs, it only worked for me after I switched to the USA site, rather than the UK one (box on the bottom left of the page). Was doing strange things before that. Once I'd done that, I could go to the "My reservations" page and add my ressie (using the 12 digit number I'd got off WDTC UK).

Good luck with everything.

Given the number of us staying around that time, maybe a meet is in order!
