I am having trouble with the mobile my disney experience app.
Keep getting stuck and can't go backwards. Very frustrating.

Can anyone point me toward a thread/tutorial?
I know we have some tech smart folks out there. :worship:

There's not a thread or tutorial.

What part are you having trouble going back and what phone are you using?

If it's an iphone sometimes you can swipe back, if you can't swipe back then pull the page down and there's usually an arrow

I've had to delete and reinstall the app when it's been super glitchy. I'm still not sure what happened, but when I did that, it worked properly again.

Honestly, I never use it! :p

I make my plans, ADRs, fast pass reservations on the desktop site. For wait times I use touring plans. I just keep a list of our fast passes for each day listed on my calendar on my phone.

But, I may play with it for a while and see if I like it for this upcoming trip.

I felt like that but it saved the day yesterday for my ADR's when the website didn't show our full trip availability!

If the app is acting up, try going to disneyworld.com instead. You can use the website on your phone.

Thank you everyone for the replies. :lovestruc
when in doubt ask your teenager.

I was getting stuck in the wait times section.
Single tap the screen to see options for getting out of that section.
ok, duh. I feel old.
I set all my plans online and wanted to be familiar with the mobile app for park usage.

thanks again for the input everybody :chat:

I can't make dining reservations on the app. Twice I saw ADR times for BOG restaurant with one dinner time being 4:35p and lost the opportunity because the app said that there was a problem making my request. Fortunately, I was able to get a lunch and a dinner time for the dates that I'll be at WDW. But I had to make the ADRs on my desktop.

I like to make a Google Drive spreadsheet with my ADRs, FP+, and itinerary and then use my phone to check everything once I'm in the parks (instead of MDE). I can open the spreadsheet, put my phone on airplane mode and check whenever I need to. I find my phone battery drains too quickly if I don't do that. I also find that sometimes the Wifi might be down in the parks and my cell phone bill is sky high once I get home.

Thanks. I needed this information. I've been getting frustrated with the changes to the app.

I hate the app after the update. It used to be so user friendly with everything in tabs on the left side but now it's like a maze trying to find where to tap to get to where I need to be.
ETA: I work tech support for a cell phone company so that's saying a lot!

I do screen captures of each day's plans (ADR's and FP+) so I don't have to connect to the wifi to see them. I use that day's photo as my locked screen photo, so I don't even have to go into the phone to see the photo. If I add additional FP later, I usually do it via Disney's wifi and the website rather than the app, and do a new screen capture. I have found the website works better on the Disney park wifi than the app does, but I can usually access both at the resorts.
