I am thinking about allowing my 7yr old to use our extra 2 person tent as a play room while at the fort. I already have two tents so how strict are they about the 2 tent limit? We are traveling with friends who have a 7 and 5 year old so we thought that would be perfect for them to roll around in and set up a few toys.:confused3

I have had three tents on my site in Loop 2000 for almost two weeks an no one said a thing to me.

I know a recent visitor from this board was asked to take a 2nd tent down when staying in a full hookup loop with his camper, but that could have been that 1 security guard's pet peeve.

I've never actually seen the policy in writing about number of tents. The only thing I've seen in writing is 1 camping vehicle and 1 passenger vehicle and that any other "stuff" on your site had to fit on the site.

See post #19 in the FW Frequently Asked Questions. Looks like you can use your entire space but not beyond the sand. Hope this helps?

Hello - I have seen several sites with more than two tents. I have also seen people setting up tents beyond the sand area. I am not sure if this is allowed, but it did not appear to be a problem. Hope you have a great time!

Yea, I've seen multiple tents up, I think the main thing they are concerned about is making sure you don't go past the area of your pad.

I posted this on another thread, but I'll add it here too. This may be the solution if the Fort starts getting sticky on the # of tents

I just thought of something. If you feel nervous about the amount of tents on the site, Wal-Mart has something called a "connection" tent. It is actually 3 tents with tunnels that connect one larger tent with two smaller tents on either side. All connected, technically, it is one unit, but will still give the privacy for everyone.
