How soon in advance do you all start planning? We're doing a 7 night Disney cruise next September, :cool1: but now I'm starting to wonder when I'll be taking my next trip to WDW! With a now 3 month old, I expect it won't be for a few more years!!!! but I still want to mentally plan some aspects of our trip, where we may stay, what month to go etc. (if I can even wait a few
more years)!!

How far out do you start mentally planning?

It's NEVER too soon. I started planning this year's trip when I started planning my trip to Disneyland (2007)...but started planning in 2006!

We found out my wife was pregnant with our daughter in January of 2006. That's when I started planning a trip for her second birthday - the last time we'd be able to take her without paying for admission for her. :)

It is never too early to plan as long as your expectations are realistic and you can stay focused on the real world life currently at-hand. :)

Start planning and have a great time!!!

It is NEVER too early to start planning, at least in my mind! When my sister called to tell me she was pregnant last January, one of the first things we did was talk about planning a trip for Ellie (her daughter) when she would be about 18 months old. We already know where we're staying, how long, who's coming, and have looked into special issues that may arise with a youngin in tow!
