How soon in advance would I need to order tickets for them to get to me in time? I haven't even looked into whether express delivery is an option? I live in Boston, and do not want to purchase at the gate.

I got my tickets about a week after I ordered them, and I am in Oregon. Keep in mind that you have to sign for them. I had them delivered to our business and let everyone know they were coming! I've also bought them and picked them up at will-call. I think there is a $5 service charge for that, but then there's no forgetting them at home :) I've also bought a ticket and printed it at home. You bring the printed ticket (which is a full page) and they give you a "real" ticket at the turnstile.

Just buy online and print at home. It's so easy and will save you a shipping fee.

E tickets are fast and easy as sj says, we always wait until the very last minute just incase specials come about.

So if you do this, do you then get a ticket at the turnstyle? Or do you have to stop at the ticket sale booth?

Last time I bought from Ares and I had to stop at the booth to get my ticket. IT went smoothly, but I don't really enjoy that process. Would love to get the best price on a "ticket". I can buy DL tickets at my grocery or the disney Store, but I'm not sure the price is the best.

When you order from Disneyland.com, it will email you a print-out that has a bar code on it. You take that print-out directly to the turnstiles and hand it to the CM. They will scan it and hand you a regular paper ticket. You do not have to go to the ticket booth.

As far as getting the best price, for the 3-day and more park-hoppers, it is usually cheapest to order online from Disneyland.com. The website will show you the savings between the online price and the price if you were to buy at a ticket booth (or grocery store, etc.). For example, right now it is $20 cheaper to buy a 3-day online, $30 less for a 4-day, and $40 less for a 5-day or a 6-day hopper online. There are also special offers on Disneyland.com that aren't available at the parks. For example if you're going before April 14th, they have discounted hoppers.
