How soon does SW release rates?

I have been trying to check rates for May 12-19, but their current schedule is only through May 10. I haven't flown SW in years. I swore I would never fly SW again (I hate not having an assigned seat), but the prices have been soooo low that I just might reconsider.

They usually have about 5 months open at one time. My guess would be that your dates will be released very soon, like in the next week or so. From what I've seen, it seems like they extend the next set of dates on Thursdays.

Be sure to download DING because it will give you special fares that you can't get on the regular website (and the emails that they send 1x a week aren't timely enough).

Mom, try SW again. We flew SW in September, first time ever. Previously always Delta, but couldn't find good fares or good flight times on Delta. We flew N/S both ways, got "A" boarding passes on the website both ways, GREAT fares, couldn't have been a more pleasant experience.
I'm waiting for early June fares, too. Hurry up SW! (However, my new form of exercixe is running to the computer every time I hear a Ding! )
