How soon do you think the free dining will sell out?

When the free dining is offered in April( assuming it will be) I just wonder how long is will be before all of the values sell out? Our first choice is Sports, so I am wondering will I have to be on the phone for hours during the first day it is out with my Disney Visa in hand or can I wait a little later in the day and call to get our package.

I just need to book a value hote to stay within our budget.

Not making any predictions, but - as a non-Disney VISA holder who was not eligible for any of the early booking for 2007... my Travel Agent (who started working on my reservation at, I would think, 9 AM on the first day the package was available to us 'nobodies' :teeth: ) was able to ONLY get Sports for me at that time.

In the previous years Sports has been the last value to sell out. As always, though, there's no guarantees in this.

Well I'm still undecided about what to do. Stay out of work for a few hours on the morning that they release it to they cardholders or wait till later that evening until I get home. I suppose I just might have to miss a few hours of work. I really hate that!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

You have another alternative. Book through a Disney Travel Specialist - either Dreams Unlimited (a sponsor of the DISBoards) or Small World Travel (see mousesavers.com for exact contact information.

The Agents for these companies generally work from home, and so will be on the phone with the department dedicated to Travel Agents, as soon as the phone lines open.

Well I really did'nt think of that. I used Small World before for both of my previous Disney vacations. But for some reason I really wanted to book directly with Disney this year.

We went last September and stayed at All Star Music. I didn't find out about the free dining until after Memorial Day and was able to book a trip for 12 nights. We were originally booked at Pop and then changed to POFQ and then finally decided on Music, so I probably didn't book at music until sometime in June.

i originally had to book Music but kept checking online and about a month later I was able to switch to Pop.

It really didn't sell out last year. The offer ended after a specific date. However, some resorts do fill up, but then as people move their reservations, other resorts open. My DIL had 3 rooms at A/S Music but wanted Pop. She booked Music but continued to try for Pop and finally moved to Pop. Her biggest problem was the fact she needed 3 rooms. So you should still book your #2 or #3 choice and continue to try to change resorts later. (That is if they offer it to the GP again).
