How soon do they remove Halloween decorations?

So my mom just asked me a question out of the blue that I don't have an answer for...

We'll be going down next year arriving on November 1st - how long after Halloween do they typically leave up the Halloween decor? We're not planning on attending that last night of MNSSHP but we think it would be neat to see the decorations.

I can tell you I went there Nov 1st-Nov 6th 2011. We got to the MK on Nov 2 and the halloween decorations were there. Went back for dinner on the 3rd, and the Christmas decorations were up.

There on the 1st, gone just a day or two later after the last MNSSHP.

Wow! So maybe if we plan it right we can see *both* the Halloween and Christmas decorations.

(lol I'm doing a dork dance in my chair- that would would just be SO neat to see. hehehe)

I was blown away at how fast it was done. I was hoping to get more photos of the decorations the next night. Was glad that I got to see both.

The Fall decorations are kept up until after the last MNSSHP on Nov 1st. They will come down probably overnight on the 2nd, and the Holiday decorations will start going up immediately. All of the MK (except for the Big Tree near the Train Station at the end of Main Street- that doesn't go up until after the first weekend of December) will be decorated for the first MVMCP- November 8th.

If you arrive on 11/1 and leave after the 8th, you will get to see all the Fall and all the holiday decorations at MK. None of the other parks have Halloween/Fall decorations, and they will not be fully decorated for the holidays yet- the MK is the biggest priority to get done during the first week of November. But there will be at least a few Christmas decorations up at Epcot, AK, and DHS (the Osborne Lights usually start the same day as the first MVMCP, so many of their decorations should be up and ready by then, too).

Hi
That's what we are doing this year. We arrive 30th and going to Halloween party on 31st. And we are still there for the first Christmas party on the 9th Nov

I didn't realise the decorations go up so quick though.

We got married on 11/2/12 at WDW. When we got there on 10/29 the Halloween decorations were up. The last MNSSHP was on 11/2 in 2012. We went to the MK on 11/3 and the Halloween decorations were still there. We took a DCL cruise from 11/4-11/8 and came back to WDW from 11/8-11/15 and by that time the parks were decked out. It was cool to see the changeover. The resorts weren't decorated by the time we left and the tree at the MK was not up yet but the rest was there by 11/8 when we got back to the parks. It looked like they were starting to do the resorts the day we left.
