It has only been 10 days since it could have happened but I think I may be pregnant. For the past few days I've had light cramping and a burning sensation in my abdomen, a mild headache, metalic taste in my mouth, lightheaded, can't seem to get enough sleep, mild lower back pain, food smells funny to me (can't stand the smell of BBQ chips lately), and a few days ago I had pain in my right ovary (mild but noticable), and sore breasts. Of course there are also some female changes that I can't go into on here.
(I would have been ovulating 10 days ago as well.)

How soon did you know you were pregnant?

DH sometimes reads on here so I don't want to reveal myself until I know for sure one way or the other.

As soon as I became suspicious that something might be up, the DIS was the first place I thought of to come for answers.

I swear with my second, I knew just days after it could have happened...I just felt "weird"....everyone thought I was nuts...well....surprise!! I was right. I would trust your instincts!!

With the first one, I thought she was a sinus infection for the first 6 weeks. With the second one I thought I was pregnant 4 weeks BEFORE I actually was. With the third one I knew by day 8, just intuition and those tiny little signs.

Good Luck!

With my first I swear I woke up the morning after the conception and knew. I don't know how, I just knew I was. I had many of the sympotoms you describe. So 2 weeks later I took a test and it was postive. The second pregnancy was different and that one I lost. My third pregnancy (second child) I knew about 2 weeks after conception, I just didn't feel right. Good luck!

DS #1- 2 weeks and 1 day after conception
DS #2- 10 days after conception...my hairdresser knew it from how my hair was acting 9 days after (she had no idea I had been trying, she just jokingly asked if I was pregnant). The next morning I took a test and it was positive.

with my first I didn't know until I was a few days late...I am never ever late, or had never been at that point. I had all the symptoms I usually had every month (breast tenderness, cramping, etc), then suddenly they just started to lessen, but still no period.

with my second (and third...we had twins), I knew almost a week before my period was due. I've only ever had heartburn when I was pregnant, and one night I had it. I just knew. I tested about 3 or 4 days before my period and got 2 pink lines.

Good luck!!!!

I too asked one of my clients jokingly ;) of course if she was pregnant (before she knew she was) by the way her hair was :teeth: Yep....got the phone call saying she was :teeth:

I knew with DS right away because I just felt different right away (intuition)??

I also knew with DD because I knew when I was ovulating. Took test 14 days after conception to confirm :lovestruc

Good luck to you!! :goodvibes

I had thought I was pregnant and bought a home pregnancy test and got my you know what later that same day. :(

A few months later, I still had this home pregnancy test that I believe was about to expire, or maybe I was about to toss it, I can't remember. Then I got this idea of, why not just take it and get familiar with how they work. Better than just tossing it in the garbage, I thought.

So, that's what I did. I did not think for a second that I was pregnant and hadn't yet skipped a you know what. The thing came up positive and I thought it was faulty! LOL Turns out, I was pregnant and if I'd have to guess, I'd say I couldn't have been passed 2 weeks when I 1st took the test.

Go buy yourself one. They're pretty darn accurate!

I have felt the same way for the last month!! We are kind of trying (not really too worried about whether or not it happens right away), and I would have thought for sure I was pregnant. I was supposed to start Friday, took 2 pregnancy tests (different brands) Saturday, and STILL hadn't started yesterday. I was starting to wonder what was wrong with me- my cycle has always been a very regular 28 days. Wouldn't you know, I started today. Maybe because you kind of want to be pregnant, you might be exaggerating some of the symptoms in your mind. I think that is what I was doing. If you might have been ovulating 10 days ago, it is possible you are just getting ready to start. maybe wait a couple days and take a test. Good luck!! I hope the result is what you want it to be! :goodvibes

Heart Burn, sore chest, and yucky feeling. - 1st day of missed period.

I knew with my first one the next morning, no reason to, I just knew. With #2 and 3 I didn't know until I took a test. We had problems and I was taking fertility drugs for awhile, so I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen. I should have known though, I can remember being sooooo tired with #2 that I would literally walk in the door from work and lay down on the couch and sleep for 2 hours.

Baby 1- one day before I missed my period (very faint second line)
Baby 2-day after I missed my period (faint second line)
We are trying for Baby 3 now but I do not expect Aunt Flo for another few days, so it is probably too early to test. (Sorry if TMI)

My first symptoms were swelling and tenderness in my breasts. (Again, sorry if TMI :) )

First pg I suspected immediately (we were trying and I felt different -- including heartburn from day one). Subsequent 3 pgs (1 miscarriage and 2 babies) I KNEW immediately because of the same exact heartburn feeling, plus I had a low-grade fever for the first few weeks of every pg.

Good luck! Would this be your first?

I felt like something was different by 7 dpo, but kept getting negative tests until 13 dpo. That confirmed it. Then both blood tests reconfirmed it.

I agree, go buy a test. But buy a generic one or check out peeonastick.com for reviews. The accuclears are awful (for a lot of people) and the digitals are great but usually take more hcg to turn positive.

I thought I was about the time I would have started. I was a bit car sick on a long drive. The week before I felt different, very distracted, hungry, and I felt "full". Hard to describe. Of course, if you believe in such things, I had a dream a week before I tested, and in it I went to a bakery and got a "bun" fresh from "the oven"

I knew within days... like you, lots of little things just felt different.

Another vote to go for some of the early detection home tests!

As soon as my BF and I were putting the final touches on our girls trip. She realized before me that I was pregnant. I think I was just in disbelief. Three EPT sticks later we still went on the girls trip-I was just the DD for the trip.

With both boys, I knew within 24 hours. If you're attuned to your body and you're getting vibes (and symptoms that you haven't had before), it's a safe bet that you are.

Congrats!

First was not planned (but definitely wanted), so once I had confirmation three weeks later, I was dazed for a a few days.

With younger, I took the pregnancy test about 5 days early and it showed up positive (so I was about where you are now). I had the flu and wanted to be sure before I took any flu medicines.

With the first one, he was NOT planned, but within 8 days I knew something was up. I just felt 'weird' and knew it was not normal. I finally came to terms that I was probably pregnant later that week.

With this one, I pretty much knew at conception. Within 2-3 days I was starting to notice the symptoms from last time.

I'm now 6 weeks pregnant with surprise baby #2 and both times I knew by the time my period was due. With Madison about a week before I was due I started waking up to pee everynight (which I never do), had lots of breast tenderness (also never have), was very tired, hungry, and felt uncomfortable sleeping on my stomach (both cause of the sore breasts but also feeling like there was a pea under my stomach, weird I know). I didn't think it was at all a possibility as I was very regular and based upon when I should have ovulated it didn't seem likely, but when I was 2 days late (always every 28 days) I tested and sure enough it was positive.

This time around I miscalculated my 'fertile' days, thinking the 1st day was the last, so I thought I was safe. Then I was talking with a friend who is also pregnant with surprise #2 and she showed me this fertility calendar on some baby website (cause I mentioned that we would start trying for #2 in about 6 months) and lo and behold I noticed my very big mistake. I thought, what are the odds, about 25%-30% in the 1st month of trying? Well looks like we were in that minority once again. This time I had no symptoms at all until a few days ago, but once I saw that website I just knew I was pregnant, despite convincing myself that the odds weren't in favor of a baby. I didn't want to waste money on a test so I waited till I was a day or 2 late and sure enough positive again.
