I made an ADR for the Crystal Palace... one of the main reasons for doing so was to get into MK early. Crystal Palace reservations start at 8am. When I called, the earliest time slot was 9:20. Magic Kingdom opens at 9am this day... is it pushing it to try to get in around 8 or so? How about 8:30? Does anyone know how soon they will let us in? Thanks so much!

I don't think they will let you in before park opening with a 9:20 breakfast. I may be wrong, though

Only reservations made before opening are able to enter MK early

1) Nope.
2) They know that trick.
3) They don't want people roaming the park "lands".
4) For other with early ADR's, they still can only do Main Street.
5) You will be let in at park time.

I am curious... if they expect you to check in fifteen minutes early to an ADR, wouldn't you have to be able to walk to the ADR location and be there by 905 am? In that case, I would think you would be allowed in a few minutes before 9 am. Otherwise, how would people make their ADR times? Just curious??? :confused3

Every time I've made a dining reservation, the spiel has included, "... arrive five to ten minutes prior to your reservation time...".

I would think that if the OP was at the turnstiles early enough to enter the park early, i.e. be near or at the front of the line, getting to Crystal Palace in five or ten minutes wouldn't be a problem.

We had a 9:15 ADR time at CP a few trips ago. They let us into the ADR entrance area, but wouldn't let us into the park until rope drop. Then after the opening ceremony they dropped ropes for the main entrance and we had to wait for them to do so at the ADR entrance.

YIKES! We have a 9:05 ressie for CP because that was the earliest I could get. Last year we had a 9:05 for Tusker House and they let us in early. DO you think they will let us in early for our ressie? :confused3

If we have a 9.00am ADR and park opens at 9.00am surely they'll let us in at like 8.45am? :confused3

Hope so! This was the earliest we could get!

For an ADR at 9 or 9:05 you may be let in early, however, you'll need to arrive before the "show" starts. Once they start the opening ceremony they won't let anyone in.

I've never had an ADR right at opening time but I have seen enough moms yelling and fighting with the gate attendant to know that they do not always let you through with an ADR after the park is open; just like they don't let you through early for an 8:05 or an 8:10 ADR on EMH morning. I heard someone ask the CM once about the 15 min check in and they said "they (the restaurant) know what time we open the gates. You won't have a problem"
