Seriously tho, it only happened to me one year, when I was pregnant with DD. Tryptophan (sp?) and pregnancy and, being 35 did not mix well! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... At least I had an excuse tho! LOL
Tryptophan is really an ingredient found in, among other things, white turkey meat. It can cause someone to become drowsy. I love the Seinfeld episode where Jerry and his friends feed turkey and wine to his girlfriend with the toy collection so she'll sleep while they play with the vintage toys.
Royal Caribbean does have some of the best cruise commercials though....that "Typtophan.....Trip To Alaska" one is cute
I guess tryptophan turns into serotonin. Isn't serotonin what George Hamiliton insists keeps him looking so young (and here I thought it was his plastic surgeon).
Well, whatever it is, I hope it doesn't kick in too much. I will be eating after sleeping all day from working the first midnight shift of seven in a row. So, if it kicks in I'll be hoping for a quiet night at work.
I don't really notice that I get tired generally after eating Turkey dinner. I do want to relax right after dinner though, but probably only because I have stuffed myself full of all the yummy food I have waited all year to consume!!!!
