how soon after booking flight do you??

I don't print my e-ticket until the week of the flight. It's not really worth anything, but can be handy when checking in curbside. Since I have bought our last few batches of tickets9 to 11 months ahead of time, there is usually a flioght number change so the original eticket is not worth anything in that case. I think the next flight wee take, we'll just print out boarding passes off the home computer and head to the airport -so no etickets at all. I do save the receipt and original etickets in my email files tho.

Never.

I just show up. In hundreds of flights, I have never had a problem.

I do not bother printing them either. Just show up, give them your name and ID.

I print out the confirmation immediately. I worry that they may somehow lose the reservation, that way I have written proof. One time they changed the price on me after I booked it (USAir).

I do it only to have the reservation number in case I need to modify it online. Cannot do that without the reservation number.

PRINT THEM! It will really make things easier on you if you have them in hand if there is a problem. It tells you to print them. I always do, plus keep copies in my email folders in case. Better safe than sorry.
