My DH and I are both Pooh sized. pooh: Looking at the pictures of the cars on Mulholland Madness they look like a tight fit. Are they as small as they look? :confused3 And are there two lap bars or just one for both seats?

Well, I think in terms of most rides the seats are small. But not that small. You can visually check it out when you get there. The biggest complaint from me on this ride is that you sway A LOT to the left/right at each turn. I used to ride this one as a single rider but after a couple of times of being way too up close and personal to the stranger next to me, I only go with family. But, it's a fun little ride. :)

I went with my child on the ride. I am close to Pooh size. While I fit snugly, the problem that I had with the ride is that I was banged around. My shoulder and knee kept banging into the ride.

I'm not Pooh sized and it's a tight fit for me. You will fit but you will be cramped in there. :) There are lap bars for each seat so you will have one and so will dh. I recommend riding it, it is fun but it's cramped and my knees get banged up too. I'm 5' 4" and DBF is 6' 3", MM is his least favorite ride. :)

We are currently at DL right now and rode Matterhorn this a.m. I may have been under the influence of lack of food, but I could have sworn there weren't any bars in the vehicle. I sat w/ my 7 year old and there were 2 seat belts. However, I did see many adults sitting by themselves..one of the ladies ahead of us was pretty tall and looked to be about 250+lbs and she fit in the car...it looked a little snug, but rideable.

OOPS Heather...wrong ride, wrong park :)

I used to be double pooh sized and I have ridden this ride at my largest. It was tight but doable. The two of you will likely have to sit in different seat (front and back) Once I rode with my daughter, side by side and they had to put a bolster between her and the bar because it wouldnt come back far enough. Now I have lsot weight and she has gotten older...we are the same size. :)

:thanks: for the help everyone. I have 3 more questions.

1 - One of the responses about lap bars was "There are lap bars for each seat" and another stated that "Once I rode with my daughter, side by side and they had to put a bolster between her and the bar because it wouldnt come back far enough." Does that mean that in a car with 4 seats there are 2 lap bars or 4 lap bars? :confused3

2 - Do they have bolsters like that for BTM?

3 - I know we will not be able to ride on Orange Stinger becuse of weight restrictions (though DS7 is looking forward to it). What other rides at DL and CA will be a problem for the Pooh Sized, either because of seat size or weight restrictions?

Thank you all again for your speedy responses.

No, you each have your own lap bar. Her DD's just didn't go far enough so hers had a bolster in it. :)

BTMRR has one bar for both passengers, you may want to each have your own seat if it is of concern to you. :)

I am very pooh sized but when i went in October i could do all the rides. I didn't so the one you are asking about and the swings. But i didn't everything else.... Space mountain was alittle tight, but do able..... Don't worry if i could fit trust me i know you will be fine!!!!!

It was one lap bar.....as I remember the seats were like bench seats, very similar to the type on the ride in DL...Mr Toads wild ride and Alice in Wonderland. The seat can fit one or two.

Now this particular trip that they had to use the bolster for my daughter was in 2002. I have been on it since without my daughter.

They may have changed the bars????? and the seats?? there was no way two pooh sized people could sit in the same seat one would need to go in front and one in back

They are pretty big. Well, it just depends on the person. I'm a kinda skinny 13 year old girl , so yeah, they are a bit over the normal size for me.

No, the seats on MM have a space between them. I specifically remember having my own bar. And I was last on that ride in May, the first weekend in May 08 to be exact. ;)

I'm pretty sure I have read that MM had a refurb where they changed from one bar to two. :)

There have been a couple different threads like this recently!

MomBoyd, I haven't been on BTMRR in a year or two, but I definitely remember they only had ONE bar. It was a bit of a problem at the time, as DH was bigger than he is now, and I was smaller than I am now. (DS was napping with his uncle and aunt)

California Screamin' has a sign that states that some body types and sizes won't be able to ride, but my husband at 5'10" and 299, with a very broad and thick back, could ride it.

On the other hand, he has yet to be able to ride Maliboomer, b/c there's a shoulder harness and then a tether from the harness to the seat. They can't get the tether to clip to the seat, so he can't ride. But he's built like a retired sumo, and his back is really wide and big front to back (lots of back fat, in other words), so someone else of the same weight and height, but a different body type, wouldn't have that problem necessarily.

I've also read that Orange Stinger does NOT have the weight limit on it anymore. However, you have to be 52" tall to ride; will your 7 year old hit that mark?

Hubby won't ride Astro Orbiter with our son, b/c it's just awkward to get in and out. I have to ride it now, and I hate that ride, I turn so green.

On Pooh hubby asks to ride in the second or third row in the beehive vehicle, b/c the front row is just a bit smaller. If the three of us are on it, DS and I sit in the front and hubby sits in the middle row; if it's the two of them they'll just ask to sit in the middle row.

I'm 5'10" and around 265 and my fiancee is 5'10" and 200 and it was a snug fit but it wasn't so tight that we weren't able to breath. Give it a try the ride only last like 90 seconds anyways.
