How should we tackle weekends

my husband and I are taking our two year old in sept from the 5-19th. My tactic was to avoid Magic Kingdom and Epcot (due to F&W) at weekends. However I’ve seen that Star Wars is opening a week before we go, we probably won’t be able to get on the ride because of the wait times and no fast passes. Just wondered if you think Hollywood would be a better park to avoid at weekends?

I’d say so during that time. But then again, if it’s not your cup of tea it’ll be just as insane during the week!

I think it's really going to be crowded at all parks with the SWGE opening just the week prior. Yes, I would avoid DHS and Epcot on weekends. I would try to make my MK and DHS days on a Monday. Not sure when F&W opens exactly this year but it will be better the later in September you go. I'd play it by ear until you get your FP+, ADRs and park hours dialed in and maybe plan your non park/rest days on weekends.
