How should I prioritize reservations?

Our reservation day is coming up in 9 days! :cool1: I know I need to prioritize my reservations, but I have no idea which ones would be harder to get (therefore should do first). Since I have to get up at 2:30 in the morning for this, some help would be appreciated!

The reservations we'd like to try to get are
  • Liberty Tree Tavern
  • Biergarten
  • 50s Prime Time Cafe
  • Beaches and Cream (only for ice cream, so we don't need an ADR if we can get the kitchen sink from the walk up window. Anyone know if we can?)
Also, we just booked the first 2 nights at Boulder Ridge and would like to book an ADR for a restaurant there. Which one do you recommend? I was thinking Whispering Canyon, but we're open to ideas.

I would do:

Beaches and Cream (you cannot get the kitchen sink at the walk-up window)
50's Prime Time
Liberty Tree Tavern
Biergarten

Whispering Canyon is the only TS open at WL currently and it's a lot of fun, so I would stick with that.

Thank you! And my husband will be so grateful for the info about the kitchen sink. It's his only request for this trip!

If you are just visiting for a few days, then I would recommend to have alternatives ready. Also, be willing to adjust plans to dine before or after prime dining times (highest demand). If park reservations were not required, I would say you can adjust what day to match availability. You can always follow-up during the days that remain before your trip, if you are not able to get an ADR for the ones you are wanting. It usually works out if you are really wanting one, as people cancel and people change their plans. You can also try the day you are there, which I now believe is managed through their mobile app.

Id work backwards by days, so if you are doing Epcot last- go with that pick because people might not be booking for that last day of your trip yet so more options will be available and less time wasting up reservations that are gone since people booked with earlier stays. Then sign up for mouse dining alerts for the ones sold out.

Do you have any suggestions for alternative for MK and DHS? We're not interested in SciFi, and I have food allergies (gluten, soy, added sugar, bell peppers, peanut butter, walnuts, nitrates/nitrites which generally means no pork in a restaurant).

I have family with food allergies which are dairy and can’t have any spice that is hot and have to really limit salt and Disney in the past has done great with food allergies. At MK we enjoy BOG and Tony’s and at DHS Hollywood Brown Derby along with what you are trying to get 50’s PTC.

50's PTC will fill first, followed by LTT. The other two I would save for last. But start clicking on 50's as soon as your window opens if you want to eat there.

Totally agree in the order.
Seriously, after Beaches and Cream, the rest don't really matter.

We were at the Beach Club 3 weeks ago and the walkup window was serving a Mini Mickey Sink. Lots of people were ordering it. I've never had either but I was told it is about half the size or less of the full kitchen sink served inside and has fewer flavors of ice cream but it served in a cute Minnie or Mickey souvenir sink. There were stacks of the souvenir sinks inside the window. I think the cost is about the same as the full size but you get to keep the sink.

Most Disney restaurants will accommodate to dietary restrictions, in advance if possible helps them too. Overall, Studios is a lot of themed dining, and taste differ from person to person, family to family. I would suggest Brown Derby ($$$$). Otherwise, if leaving and returning to the park are something you are open to you can consider Boardwalk dining options or even Rivera by taking the sky tram.
