How "seasonal" is Flame Tree Barbeque???

We will be going to AK in early October. It will be Columbus Day actually. I know that the Flame Tree Barbeque is open seasonally but how is that determined? Is it just Christmas, Thanksgiving and school vacations???? Is the Tusker House a good alternative? Thanks!!!

I don't think it's seasonal at all anymore. I think that was cya kind of thing when things were slow but I believe it's always open now. I will stand corrected if someone knows further...

I was there in October 2003 and it was open. It's my favorite restaurant at Animal Kingdom. I'm going again in mid-November and I'm hoping it will be open!!!!

It was open during early Jan. and early Feb. of this year. I believe it closes at 4:00 pm.

We were there later October 2001 and it was closed. Not enough people to justify keeping it open. I'd like to try it sometime.

FTB went full time early December 2002. We were there the day after they went full time and the CMs were celebrating .

FTB is open every day.

Not every day. We were there last year in mid-September and it was closed . I asked at Guest Relations at AK and they said it would not be opening again that week. They would open it later in the season when crowds picked up. It was too slow in the park to justify it.

We ate at Tusker House and it was ok. Flame Tree would have been so much better.
