We leave for Disney next month and I'm trying to decide how my kids might do on ROTR. Can anyone compare it to a different Disney ride in scare factor? My kids love Star Wars but are only 7 and 4 so now sure if it will be too scary for them on the actual ride.

I wouldn’t really say that it’s scary. It is pretty intense with effects and very immersive, if they love Star Wars they will love the attraction though! Only issue might be with loud noises? Go and enjoy! Truly an amazing experience.

There were multiple kids that age crying when I rode. The CMs in character and being ordered into so many different rooms can be pretty intense for young brains. It is probably good to make sure they understand that the CMs are actors pretending to be Star Wars characters and that the fighting is pretend too. Some personalities prefer to know what exactly will happen during the ride and others want to be surprised. You will know which your kids are and can prepare them accordingly.

I told my 8 year-old that the CMs were actors and he was fine but I could see he did find the part in the middle to be a bit intense. But once we were onto the last part of the ride he had a great time. I think in some ways it's preferable to MFSR for littles because you can at least hold their hand and sit directly next to them instead of being separated at different stations.
