How quickly do these sell out?

We are planning our first ABD this month for travel to Egypt next year. Do ABDs sell out quickly? Do we need to book right away? We will luckily be on a cruise next week when the booking window opens. Does anyone know if you can book them while on a DCL cruise at the future vacation center or is that only for booking future cruises? Thanks and can’t wait!!

Egypt will likely be very popular. I recommend using a TA to book for you on opening day and providing a list of dates, in order of preference. That said, I’m not sure how it works on board.

I agree with @WishUponAStarryNight . Get a TA to book for you. I knew Japan was going to sell out quick, but I was not able to get on the phone when sales opened up due to work. (And it did sell out quickly. They ended up added 3 or 4 more departures!) I had a specific departure that I wanted. So @calypso726 recommended her TA, she & I spoke extensively, and she got on the phone that morning, and a few hours later, I had my reservation! It's been great working with her. If you really want a specific trip (and hopefully an Early Booking discount) I'd suggest letting a TA help you.

That said, if you decide you really don't want to use a TA, it certainly couldn't hurt to go by the future booking desk and see if they can help you.

Yes, I believe it was 8am Eastern time, but I don't remember for sure. I just remember I couldn't do it.

You can book ABD trips while on a Disney cruise. But the future booking desk may not be open at the time that reservations open.

Suggest you contact a TA that specializes in ABD and get them to book you on opening day. Dreams Unlimited Travel (the sponsors of the DIS) is very good at this. Kevin Klose is who we use. Kevin@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com
