How quickly do shore excursions fill up?

We still have 6 weeks left until our cruise... and I'm still undecided as to which shore excursions I want to do?!?! How fast do things fill up? Should I decide soon to avoid being disappointed? Thanks!

And to answer your question, you should book them NOW. Most of the good ones sell out long before you board the ship.

Eastern or Western? When we went you could only book 60 days in advance, I hear they take reservations 90 days in advance now.
The Atlantis submarine in St. Thomas was sold out the first day reservations opened.
