Ummm - do they have solid walls separating from our neighbors?

What do you plan on doing on the balcony??? ;) ;)

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :D :D

I can't tell you first hand but I have read that they're not all that private in that all you have to do is lean forward a little bit to see your neighbors verandah.

They have dividiers...but not solid walls....if one person leans over the rail just a bit and turns their head they can easily see into the next veranda. One DIS'er just recently reported that the gentleman in the cabin next to theirs sat every night in the nude out on his veranda......they're private, but not that private.

I see - so they are private enough to begin things but not to finish - lol
I expect it would be more comfy inside anyways

That's not what I'd call a "gentleman"!!!!!

I don't know...the man was sitting on his own verandah. What was the next-door neighbor doing leaning over to check his neighbor's verandah?

And further...after discovering what the man liked to do, how did the neighbor know he did it every night? Did he peak every night? :p

EEEWWWW! I'd hate to have THAT cabin next cruise. Everyone bring Lysol or a towel to put over your verandah chair before you sit down.

You bet I'll be peeking.... I have the cabin next to the Disney Suite - I want to see who is staying there!!

Hey...I'M in the Disney suite!!!

You won't see much so just  if you do.

It's my goal to get in there for a look around.

I used to be a travel agent and I was lucky enough to get a tour of the Roy Disney Suite when it was not occupied.... I didn't have my camera! duh!

I'd like another chance =)

I'll be sure to wave

A balcony on a cruise ship is just made for a little romance-out at sea at night you will have all the privacy you want.
There is a thread on this subject on the royal carribbean boards on cruisecritic.com. You would be surprised what people do in the 'privacy' of their balcony;)

It wasn't me, honest, I've never been on a cruise before in my life!
My DW just wanted me to clarify that point!

Our cat 6 verandah room midship was A LOT more private than our last one. We had room 6652, near the aft of the ship. The verandah itself was larger because it was on that bend on the ship but the stupid guy next door kept looking around the divider. We tried to drop hints but at one point my husband got frustrated and flipped him off as he was craning his neck around to see us. Maybe has was into voyeurism, who knows. Anyway, I wasn't about to even try to even my tan lines out with ya-ya next door to us. Still, a great room overall. We'd ask for it again.

Hasn't anybody heard of the "veranda club?"
Just like the "mile high club" on planes!! :D

So, the chairs might not be "all that comfy" but the floor is fine with a couple of blankets thrown down. ;)

Does the Verandah Club have any special perks? Like a seperate check-in line at the terminal or extra blankets in the cabin???

We have had past discussions on the veranda club, we have had to lock that topic due to the inevitable places it goes. Remember this is a Disney Board and your discussions need to stay in a manner such that you would not mind that your 6 year old child read them.
